  • Coach takes us through a unique twist that he uses in the traditional half court trap that will bait teams to throw into the corner forcing them to make difficult decisions the rest of the possession!

Coach, your videos are top notch. As a coach with 32 years of experience, I find your stuff to be extremely helpful. Thank you from all of us.

Nice!! I wonder what the other "incredible" counter was that coach talked about towards the end of the video

When running the 1-2-2 against a 4 out look, do you have your top player (1) covering both slots or do you use the wing/elbow defenders to cover them? The assignments are easy with 5 out, but with 4 out, the perimeter offensive players are on the edges of the defensive zone assignments.

Simple. Elbow takes wing. Top player needs to make sure he keeps the ball from reversing easy. Weakside block rotates middle of paint. Weakside elbow rotates to nail

Coach are you always trying to trap?

Coach Murphy said he really wants to emphasize that corner trap to speed them up and force them into difficult decisions. Try to isolate the ball on a side of the floor in not able to trap.
