im just not sure the first or 3rd example are going to illicit a response from a good defense. They aren't blocks jus bc u send the guys to the corner.. The second one looks enticing, STS action always plays well vs aggressive teams.
@@EvanMoran207 Thanks for watching! You would be surprised how they all work at different levels.
Coach do you have more information or videos on the double stack offense vs. a zone?
@markc2375 Thanks for watching. This is a quick hitter that has become pretty popular. If you have any questions. I shared video of a similar action we use as a BLOB.
And he had two options to pass also
@@Stanlayy-em4fk Agreed, well designed! Thanks for watching.
Tuff
if only the NBA had these sort of plays, itd be worth watching
C'è un errore di base. La difesa matchup non si dispone e muove così. Questa è una normale zona.
I would never reverse the ball directly under their basketball. I would dribble ball to middle and have inbounder cut up the lane behind the ball.
@jeffreysmith4196 Thanks for watching! We don't reverse directly under the basket, but we do reverse middle and opposite and it's highly effective. You could dribble middle and cut up the lane if that works for you and your team. It would just take away the reversal, which is how you can best attack these presses IMO. It also will get players dribbling instead of using ball fakes and quick passes to dissect a zone press.
Hi coach quick question. Does this play work better against zone or man
@@andylsasso They run it against M2M. I'm sure you could screen the zone and make an adjustment to use it, but the screen the screener actions are better suited for man.
This is beautiful basketball, thanks for sharing!

@EzzysOji Thanks! I appreciate it!

These seem like awesome plays. I am hoping my JV girls can successful perform these plays!! Thank you so much for sharing.
@@minihooper2 Thanks for watching! I'm sure they will be able to. Good luck!
Is there a playbook for this series?
This will only work in man, and it’ll have to catch them very off guard for the other team not to call a switch in timw
The key is it worked, and I've seen it used more than this time. If teams switch you get a mismatch in the post or screen the screener off the top for a 3. No set is perfect, but I do love simple ways to get an easy basket.
@ ohhh the mismatch is a good point, but in that exact situation the screener didn’t rly screen and kinda pushed him which could be a foul, but other then that, that mismatch thing is smart Ima bring this play to my coach
I do like the variations. Im gonna run this and maybe 2 quick hitters, your thoughts?
@michaelperez2772 I think that is perfect. If you can run a quick hitter or two off this initial set it would work great. Honestly, the reads of the base offense will take you a long way!
Yes never thought of that two quick hitters from the same set and the Def won't be able to figure it out, awesome thanks Coach and Merry Christmas
Hea coach i just started running this do you run this offense vs man or do you have something else.
@@michaelperez2772 Coach runs this against M2M.
Small variations against zone. Not a completely different offense.
Terrible video for press break , great video to explain the press 🤦🏻♂️
Interesting take. They broke the press repeatedly using this press break in this video and won the game. The press, however, was proven ineffective.
@@GetBetterBasketballI apologize if it came across rude, I was specifically looking for a different reference on how to break the diamond. Your video did both explaining how the Diamond works and how to break it . Thanks for being a resource for this great game.
@robertsimoes8376 No problem. That clarifies it. I appreciate you checking out the video. I have a couple of resources on the Diamond press and another 4 across press break you can use against it.
Bad defense the center forgot to guard the big man
@@Iknow28177 Good decision making and intentional passing makes the defense look bad
Not really how zone defense works. You guard your zone, not your man
Nice passing i guess lol
@Funnyclipsgrabthechips High Low action was great in addition to the precision and passing to dissect the zone!
Gotta watch the whole clip closely. Notice every pass and why it was made. Every off ball movement. It was all calculated. Definitely more than just passing
lol
@christianrollman3006 spot on!
This or the Diamond Press coach? Or both with the Diamond FullCourt and the 1-2-2 as a cointainment press?
Is this pretty much the read and react offense with screens layer?
Nope. Some similar concepts. More freedom to make reads decisions. Nothing robotic.
It has some similarities to read and react offense, but it is more of a motion continuity like the flex.
Do you have any drills to install this offense?
Do you have any drills to install this offense?
1 v 1 where we play off the top of the key catch 2 v 2 working the pin down screen 2 v 2 working the corner 2 man game 3 v 3 working the basic action 3 v 3 working the dribble at Entry. Also take lots of drive and kick 3s and lots of 3s on handoffs.
Lots of 5 v 5 with different guided Defensive looks. Lots of stopping and teaching during those times.
@@benmurf207can you upload a video showing you working the drills coach?
@@alonzogarnenez4095 that is a good idea. We don't usually tape subvarsity practices, but I think we can soon.
Do you have names for each variation? Or are you giving the players the freedom to decide which option they can use? Great video!
We really don't. A lot of it is based on how defense plays us and the skill set of our players.
I installed the first phase of this offense today. I think as long as your team has the basic principles of. Filling opposite corner Pass and screen away And you teach the reads based on the progression of the play. You’ll be fine. Just don’t rush your coaching. Stop and break it down as much as you can within your time.
It's a good play. The ball just didn't go in
@@patriciajackson6919 Agreed, a lot of options
How many hours of practice does it take to install this offence.? For grade 10 boys with a reasonable skill level? (I know this a very subjective question)
We installed it in the preseason for all of our sub varsity teams. Two weeks before we used it in a game. Took most of the first season to start seeing all the options it presents but that's probably my fault. Ha.
@benmurf207 @hope-dp8qz Thanks coach!

It still ended in a contested shot
I will live with a 3 like that at this level. A drive and kick 3 is a great shot IMO
Why not have 2 back screen for 1 diving to the rim? Then 2 can get out and be a safety.
@@CoreySmith-x8s I'm sure there are some adjustments you can make or a wrinkle to add. Good suggestion
That was a blatant travel by # 2.
He actually got fouled on the other end. He didn't have possession of the ball initially.
No shit
Becareful, this will work once or twice but decent coaches will take advantage of the aggression.
It could. The randomness makes if a little trickier to predict in my opinion. They are only trapping certain movements and times.
That's good action. Defensively, Karaban (on ball defender) appears preoccupied with something he's expecting, not what's happening on the floor!

Situational basketball. He traveled and other teams use it on free throws or even the opening tip to force turnovers .
Do you have any more break downs from out of bounds plays
@andylsasso Yes I have a ton of inbounds plays and series on my channel. You should be able to search and find them and I'm in the process of breaking it up that way on the channel. If you are looking for something specific, let me know.

Great video love this breakdown I love defence and this helps me learn how to see things on the court especially in the diamond press.
@@iwikiwi213 Thanks for watching!
Love the drill, but two comments on the Canada. In younger (4th or 5th grade) games, your wing players that far from the three point line might not draw defenders out in actual games. The spacing is great, but not if the defense doesn't honor deep threes. On passes from the corner up, not having the corner player basket cut costs you a double gap opportunity for the wing they just passed to.
Thank for checking out the video! I am glad you like the drill! At the 4th/5th level I would definitely hone in on decision-making and adjust the spacing to suit your needs. Good spacing is hard to come by so the sooner you start to teach it, the better. Good suggestion on the corner. That corner cut can impact ball reversal, so you just have to make sure the wing attacks the double gap.
