i have to say, this series of videos, of him just playing in random places, is one of my favorite fucking things on youtube. and so unrecognized. i mean really, 1500 views... keep it up mike, this shit is so inspirational and influential on my playing. i can't explain how many times his music has helped me through difficult shit. even if he never gets the recognition he deserves, he will always be my #1 artist, writer, musician, composer, singer, and therapist in my eyes :)
This is by far one of my favorite songs/videos he has done. The dissonance is SO PERFECT. It's so fitting and the final resolution of that chord is really well placed.
One of the best albums of 2011. This is probably my favorite track and I really like this version. The reason I'm commenting is because I'm pretty sure that the debris/walls has some Asbestos(I could be wrong but I think he lives in Chicago area and his house is older) material in it. Tell him to clean that shit up, and don't let his kids around it. Thanks for the music, it's delightful :)
Mike you’ve helped me Carry on through the best and worst times in my life, bless you and yours and sincerely thank you for everything. Your art is beyond inspiring , it’s amazing
he goes from 5/4 to 4/4, but i get lost a bit at the part just after 2:40. Is he jumping around from 3/4 and 4/4? I that's what it sounds like but anyone know for sure?
I always comeback to this song when I'm alone.
Dear Mike Kinsella ,
You are an Earth Angel sent to Earth to heal humans through your music
Sincerely
Drew Trulock
Things of this caliber justify the means to get thru this life

He's truly someone I aspire to be like when I'm older. I play in a post black metal instrumental band. His shit influences me in so many ways.

If American Football got back together and wrote the same style of music and Kinsella went back to his younger, more dynamic, tune when singing... Wow
Théophile Richart Indeed

Everyone's asleep in the house but me.
Mike Kinsella would be the coolest uncle

As long as Kinsella can keep writing music, so can I :)

SUBBED BABY

I wish that Mike would just keep playing all of his older songs in settings like these.
