Aw, poor thing. When she is sniffling I cringed, I know what it's like feeling stuffed up. And seeing her enjoying the treatment reminded me of the relief I feel when I hold my face over a steaming pot of water with a towel over my head.

I had to do this for a cat I rescued that the worst herpes I have ever seen a cat have. There were times when I would have to syringe feed her because she had so much mucous that she couldn't smell and wouldn't eat for days. It was debate on other videos and people are misinformed or have misconception of '' herpes '' for cats. People should be aware bof coryza because it serious, can be contagious to other animals and deadly within a week or two if not treated. Herpesvirus
Feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1) accounts for 40% of coryza cases. It is the causative agent of potentially severe infectious feline viral rhinotracheitis. In fact, its tropism for the upper respiratory tract (ocular and nasal conjunctiva, oropharynx, trachea), the bronchi, bronchioles and neurons makes it a potentially dangerous virus, since it can cause encephalitis and pneumonia.
Like many herpesviruses, it can remain in a latent state in neuronal ganglia, especially the trigeminal ganglion, in which case it is undetectable. All it takes to reactivate it is a drop in immunity, corticosteroid administration, stress or another disease, leading to infection and viral shedding. It is highly contagious and is transmitted through close direct contact, for example between a mother and her kitten.

My go to nebulizing cocktail is 0.5 mg albuterol, 0.5 gentamicin, and 5.0 saline.
They will also need a round of oral antibiotics and I have found doxycycline and Baytril (enrofloxacin) or doxy and azithromycin (a z pack) if no improvement within 5 days to save many babies. Even one’s that doesn’t seem like they are going to make it. Consistency is key.

Sometimes the first booger drop down on its own. Usually there is 2-3 big sneeze with matching wetty booger. But the best result are when it turn into a sneeze storm and the half hard boogers get dumped out sometime half stuck in the nose and you have to help wipe them out with TP.
It's absolutely disgusting but the noise/weezing free breathing you get afterward is awesome.

It has a "Flow-Vu" vent to help ensure kitty is adequately taking in an appropriate number of breaths of meditation from the chamber. The AeroKat is easier and quicker to set up and use than a nebulizer, but it's a good idea to gradually accustom your cat to it before using it.

Buying nebulizer is one of the best investment to my cats ☺ ofcourse I can nebulizing my cat in vet clinic, but it's much more easier to just do it at home! And more cheap!

I have a buster ICU cage for my cats. I bought it primarily for my cat that had severe heart disease in case we were in an emergency situation where he needed oxygen. Sadly, we lost him in November of 2020. :(
It can also be used for nebulizing treatments as well. It's pricey at about $300 for the medium sized ICU cage, but if you're caring for cats of any age that have any kind of chronic issues, it's a righteous investment.

Pls answer.... When I grow up I'm gonna be a kitten lady, so I hav these questions and suggestions that u should consider answering...... Thank u
    *Questions*
    1. if the kitten is not getting enough food when weaning, should you suppliment them with normal kitten formula or slurry?
    2. Can I do all the categories of fostering?(mom and baby, neonatal, and weaning age). If yes? Will I get the stuff for all the categories from the animal shelter?
    3. Can a kitten's mature eye colour be blue?
    4. Should you dispose the toothbrush after each litter?
    5. Should u dispose the sponges after each bath?
    6. what are some advanced techniques that we should consider Learning for fostering?
    7. Are the feeding bottles reusable after each litter or are you supposed to trash them after each litter
    8. As you know I'm still in school, so I learnt how to distill water. So for the humidifier in the incubator, can I use what I learnt?
    9. What is kitten season?
    *Suggestions*
1: pls make a video for trimming kitten's claws safely
2: I loved ur webinars, you should consider more like that..... They are very helpful.
    3. How about eyeball watch 2021?😋
Thank you for saving these kittens.....

My 9-year-old cat has had URIs practically since I adopted her almost 2 years ago. Pills and liquid medications are somewhat effective for a while but the congestion always returns. I tried humidifier but she doesn't like it. I wonder if nebulizer will help her.

    I NEED SONE ADVICE PLEASE
For our holiday home in France in the house next door no one lives there and all the village feral cats go there so every summer when we go there’s always at least one litter of kittens in the garden but normally there around 5 week-8weeks so they hiss and run from us and when we are there we do contribute and feed them but what do you suggest we do because we did calll a reduce but they were full and she basically told us that if we did catch them because we only go for 2 weeks they would just be put to sleep and I don’t want that to happen. Any advice ?

I have a year and a half old cat who has been diagnosed with upper respiratory disease and/or rhinitis. He’s been checked for polyps in his airways and has none. He goes on/off antibiotics and low dose of steroids when he gets worse with sneezing and mucous buildup... which is every few months it seems. I steam him in the shower when he gets bad too. But I wonder if something like this might help him during sick times, I’m surprised my vets haven’t recommended it before.

On a Spoonful of Ragdolls, Audrey, as a cat, got to use full nose and mouth mask but held away so the sides were open. The vet recommended it. After her first treatment, she sneezed about 6 times and felt better. Her cold was gone in a couple of days.

A neighbor of mine lost her wife so she started taking in even more cats than normal, she had one named sneezers and he had cancer in his sinuses. He was so sweet, I would come over to see him and he would wrap around my neck. Sadly that nieghbor has passed but the one right next to her old house also rescues cats and well I do my best to help them.
My two adopted boys were abandoned at my door step at only 4 weeks old, they are 8 months old now and I just love them. The smaller and more shy of the twins is Tsuki and the larger more loving cat is souka (sokka/soka is how it is actually spelled but we miss spell it so others find it easier to pronounce.) We often call them Chunky and tiny. However I have another cat I can't find a home for and 2 that come visit, I'm hoping to go under the nose of my friend and sterilize the two females. The reason is because the family of the females doesn't care about them, they roam around for days at a time and have constant litters of kittens infact one is the mother of my kittens and she left the due to being overwhelmed by the constant births.
