Interestingly, I heard from novel reader that they changed Dojun's goal from the novel. In the web novel it's a complete isekai scenario where main character doesn't care about their past life anymore. So this is a case where I'm glad they made changes in an adaptation because it works and it makes the 1st episode/ main character's past life relevant to the story. Also I completely agree with you about how they undermine Minyoung, my girl deserved better. Can't wait to see your review on episode 6 to 8. Most of the things you guys wished for are going to be granted sooner than you would've thought.
We just recorded the videos for episodes 7 and 8, and you're definitely right! There was a lot we were hoping for in there! That's so interesting about how they adapted Do Jun's goals. I definitely think that makes him a stronger character. I feel really attached to his old family, so it's nice to know it's a motivating factor. Not just jealousy of DoJuns mom more of Look down on Entertainment person it's real thing called "DDanDDaRa" as a clown in Korean but in-laws from powerful family(money,law,politic,ect.)
exactly my thought on seo minyoung character. no development whatsoever from the writer. she was supposed to be a bold and badass but they turned her character to be unconfident woman who only appeared as a love interest (ikrrr they kept making my girl embarassed). there's no problem with being love interest but how can you make viewers believe that there is something going on with two people when they barely have screen time together to develop their story. 11 eps have aired and i think seo minyoung is the weakest character yet. so weird because she's supposed to be the main character along with dojoon and the chairman. i decided to watch this drama for the actress (shin hyunbeen) but it's been rather disappointing to see how they waste such potential and the actress's acting skill. but let's see how if they can fix this for the rest of episodes

@@nojaemnolife i got to know her through hospital playlist. i liked her character there then proceeded to go through her filmography and watched some of her movies such as beast cling straw(? i can hardly remember because the long title lol), sunset in my hometown, confidential assignment. also her dramas like monstrous, reflection of you, confession. and yes surprisingly i am enjoying this drama. at first when i found out it's makjang drama, i kinda lowered my expectation. but then it just escalated. 1 hour 10-20 min is so long but i never get bored watching since always there are many things going on. and also the fact that real events are included that support the plot of the drama is the reason why i enjoy it more
