Lanier should be in Andrew Yang's cabinet. There needs to be a Department of Technology. Andrew Yang already says that he will be in touch with Silicon Valley folks to know what they are working on and try to point them in a different direction if what they are working on might not be such a good idea. Jarons plan sounds nice but it will just increase the huge amounts of energy already needed to run the Net, by adding another cascade of data energy from every single Info-event. Data centres use huge amounts of power, adding to the overall energy-use bill, and inevitably adding proportional heat to the system. Apple wanted to build a data centre in Ireland which would have used as much power as Dublin, the largest city of 1.5 million people....! ? Haven't even mentioned how financial Power will act as it always does....to maintain itself, like banks, corporations seeking monopoly Or the possible adverse mental health effects. He talks of getting off social media in other videos but here people would get more addicted. I think Linier is very intelligent Im just sceptical of the solution.
