Yeah, I think he was a little weirded out by the idea when they first approached him. Judith Hoag was really gung ho about her figure, and really involved in its creation, and she helped Elias see that it was a really cool thing, that fans were really enthusiastic about.
I like the first movie the most, but as a kid I had no problem with II. The faces were more expressive and streamlined in the second movie. They also had better lighting. The first movie was dark to hide things and add atmosphere, but the lighting in the second movie really lets you admire the work that went into the turtles.
I didn't like the redesigned faces as much. They started to look more samey. In the first movie, the facial features were so distinct. They definitely had better facial motion in the second one, I just wish they kept the more distinct faces. Of course, anything Henson is miles better than any TMNT suits that have been done since.
Overall great action figure. NECA is simply one of the best companies out there right now for the 1/12 scale market. The only thing I would tweak on this figure is the forearms. They seem a little bit skinny. Even for Elias Koteas. Overall great review and a great figure to pick up in my opinion.
Is the paint issue with the arm pit disk hinge a tolerance issue? wouldnt that be something they test before going to production? Saw pictures of the April O'Neil and she has the same issue at the back of the knee and ankle disk hinge. Like you said, mold the piece in white plastic and it'll solve the issue, it's not like they wont ever need a white armpit disk hinge sometime in the future that they cant just produce 10,000 pieces at a time to use as necesary. Or is that piece not universal and has to be a unique sculpted piece for that figure exclusively?
I sound like a broken record but the problem with this figure is literally the inability to buy it retail. This is what $30 retail? But for most people it's going to be a $60-$70 figure due to resellers. So with that in mind, is it really worth getting this figure? The paint on the hinges is very annoying. Not because it there but the paint flakes.
No. With the brittleness of the plastic, garbage paint applications, these figures aren’t worth it. At least not for posing or handling. The main selling point is that they get the likeness right and it looks good on a shelf.
I like the figure, its a good figure if your a casey jones fan, but personally I was never fond of casey jones' character. Felt like he was just shoehorned into the franchise just so April o'neal could have a human love interest.
Tbh I'm saving but next month I was thinking of t geting this but on Amazon it's 70 and a diffrent Casey and Raphael 2 pack is on;y 95 so im gonna be geting that
As for the QOTD? Original is the best. To me it's still one of the best super hero flicks today. But.. I do love Part 2 as well. Worthy sequel.. Only they listened to the moms too much since they don't use their weapons.

Dang. Im not even a tmnt fan but this guy looks pretty cool with his mask.
Damn, necas detail work for the painting is damn near unmatched, the details for the face sculpt and paint work are ridiculous.

Love it but hate that I can't get one for retail because NECA made it a US Walmart exclusive, so us Canadians are screwed once again
