“Theater of the mind” ..... makes one imagine, picture what actors and scenes look like, gives one pause to think, realize how times have changed, and be grateful that this form of entertainment exists. Thank you for providing the shows and this forum for listeners to express themselves. I enjoy reading the comments. Makes me feel part of a “family’ of listeners.
At the END of this GREAT story…it started all over again… So, I listened to it…..ALL OVER…) again! 👍 It WAS good enuff to do just that,…so I did! 🤗 Thnx,… for another great writing episode by Sam Dann …& played by the great Ralph Bell… & his devoted, but, naive wive, Evie Juster. I was sorta thinking that…on the 2nd time listening, that the ending was gonna be DIFFERENT…. & I was HOPING that the Policeman, Charlie, was either HEARING Mr. Simpson, SAYING that what he said was TRUE…or, when they were INVESTIGATING him, the police had put a recording device in his house…. & they had TAPED his admittance to Marty to actually BEING FROM Sissora,…but, I guess that DIDN’T occur….it ended the EXACT same way. 😕 Too bad. I had really HOPED that he WOULD be ACQUITTED. Instead, he was gardening… & having a cup of tea w/his devoted wife. A GREAT CBSMT episode! I just LUV listening to these stories @ nite! This one, becuz it WAS longer, I ended up falling asleep to it, so I listened to it twice!! 👍
At the risk of sounding critical, that's a little bit like smelling the milk, realizing it is sour, and then putting it back in the refrigerator. Maybe tomorrow it'll be GOOD!!! I'll take it out and smell it TOMORROW! Oh, TOO BAD!!!! It's STILL SOUR!!! I had really HOPED it would FIX itself and be GOOD AGAIN!!! Unfortunately, that just isn't how the world works. Generally, when you listen to a story and it ends a certain way, if you go back to the beginning and play and listen to the whole thing again, it will usually end the same way as it did before..because it's RECORDED.
I am blind and love listening to these Radio stories. Please keep them alive.
