@dragoscozma8651, it exists because of how cross compatible it is with everything else. It exists brcusse porting a fabric mod to forge is relatively simple. modmakers just dont do it becuase they are fabric lovers. But porting a forge mod is difficult as hell, hence why there are more mods for forge than fabric. You want to like fabric like it but accept the truth. It was made to devide and complicate the modding community, nothing else. I have never had a stability issue with Forge, just the mods them selves. But i have run into issues with not being able to properly transition from optifine because the same people who work on the alternatives are fabric lovers. And like seemingly the rest of the fabric community they prefer there being MORE divisions in the mod community then less.

The truth is that fabric is easier to mod with, easier port between versions and has a better loading time then forge, with no direct disadvantage. They chose to make Fabric mods specifically work on Forge because the other way around is much harder considering Forge is a much more complex mod loader.

@@QuestionableLogic_ It is badly coded, causing big performance issues. The team behind it also had numerous people who have done bad things. The good people left and are now working on Neoforge. Optifine is very outdated with its performance techniques, on top of completely breaking mods. I've come across a handful of mods that specifically state to not play with optifine because it breaks them. Fabric or Quilt doesn't have these issues.
