the intro is the main reason i like her honestly. she's so cute and precious and a joy to see; the fact that she is a dot unit to go with kafka just solidified her for me
I’m glad you mentioned the Pela comparison. Guanifen doesn’t have the same immediacy at applying her debuff since it needs to stack 3(4) times and she doesn’t have the ability to remove buffs. But Guanifen does have DoT synergy with Kafka and has endless uptime on her debuff since it’s part of her talent. I would consider her fire Pela and call it good. 21% damage taken increase isn’t the same as 40% defense shred but it’s still good!
upside is though she actually has solid damage especially paired with kafka the fire dot itself though is the weakest dot but break effect build can be solid since she can proc fire break effect dot + normal fire dot
40% def shred is equivalent to 25% vulnerability in a vacuum, she really is fire Pela in teams with no access to defense shred. that said, as soon as external Defense shred from Resolution, Quantum 4pc, fish explosions and other units enter the equation, Pela skyrockets in value thanks to the increasing returns at higher defense shred levels. Guin won't be replacing the sweetheart of the meta for a long time due to quirks in the damage formula, but she holds her own a lot better than she should have any right to.
yeah but ain't no one using hook this late in the game even f2p should have some solid 5 star units which is a shame I fully leveled up hook and got her e6 maxed traces haha

I've been having alot of fun with her even without Kafka, she pairs really good with Himeko since she also inflicts burn, i still need to try her with Topaz but i'm sure they'll work fine. Especially in the SU she's very strong when following Nihility and paired with Silver wolf since the Firekiss debuff increases everyone's damage so much! And yes she's very adorable and spunky, she apperently also has a brother named Lancelot so can't wait to see him in the game as well.
I pair her with the fire trailblazer with the topaz lightcone that everytime they get hit they always get burned then i just add dps and healer My favorite team right now with her is Fire trailblazer - Natasha - Guinaifen - jingliu

Don't have a DoT team or Topaz, but I spent a 10 pull to get her (lucky ^^) because she's just too _cute_ and those animations go way harder than they have a right to. The latest 4* have been all bangers when it comes to design. With Hanya coming up it only solidifies more that the future of 4* looks bright

you could have mentioned about the fire trio with Hook, instead of Topaz: - Guinaifen takes everyone's DoT and ramp up her talent really fast (3~4 DoTs at once makes her talent max in one turn), plus can use their DoTs to boost her ultimate (mostly sp positive) - Hook takes Guinaifen's DoT to trigger her talent constantly, which allows her to use ultimate once every 3 turns without ERR investment and act as pseudo-hunter (except from the enhanced attack after ultimate, every attack from Hook is single target), plus, if she is e4, whenever she attacks, all adjacent enemies will take Hook's burn DoT as extra, which increases Guinaifen's ult total damage (sp negative, using skill all the time, but she is slow) - Asta... being Asta, buffing %fire, %atk and speed, but combined with Guinaifen's firekiss and the huge toughness damage on skill, she could dish some damage unwillingfully (depends on situation, but can be positive or negative) Lynx as someone who can redirect team's agro to Hook, keeping Guinaifen, the most fragile party member, safe (mostly sp positive)
I'm glad I managed to snipe Guinaifen on my first 10 pull... I'm broke wish-wise and have so many 5-star characters to raise I just couldn't bring myself to try get Topaz. Maybe on her re-run xD
and shes the first with a break tree too. check all you characters, shes the only one atm with break boosts. so we finally have a character thats a breaker too. People may not use her for that, but it'll really add up with enemy's that have fire weakness
She saved my fuckin life on Penacony, i kept losing to that stupid bird man then as soon as i built my guinaifen and put her on the team i won no problem.
I gave my Guinaifen the break effect relic set with EHR body (and lots of break effect and ATK% substats), and the EHR ornament set with both ATK%, both with break effect subs (I have yet to get a decent fire damage orb, and I'm still holding out for a good break rope to really lean into the niche). With Solitary healing, her break effect is a little over 120% at the moment, while still having enough EHR to reliably proc her burn. Very satisfied with the damage output thus far, especially upon break, for obvious reasons.
@@Kaiilayn If you're asking whether or not it's the most efficient use of her abilities, then probably not. If you're asking whether or not it's fun, then yes, it's fun. My Sampo is a hybrid breaker/DOT stacker, and he absolutely slaughters people. Guinaifen doesn't break quite as easily as Sampo cause she doesn't have a five-hit bounce, but she still does a good amount of break, and can do mad damage when she breaks someone. I honestly just like seeing the big numbers upon weakness break. Also it makes her weakness break burn effect way more damaging, but sacrifices some regular burn damage. TL;DR: Maybe not worth it, but definitely fun.

I really prefer building dot team rather than crit team since my luck for artifacts are really horrible dots are much easier and cost less tp to build so having more nihilty's are great
I had insane luck with the 5 stars on the Topaz banner (3 copies of Topaz in 70 pulls and Yanqing, but I don't wanna talk about Yanqing...), but I'm still more excited for Guinaifen! She's only at e3 for me, but I can't wait to add her to the Kafka team I've been building. I can't stand Sampo, so I've been waiting for Guinaifen to really complete it. Kafka/Guinaifen/Sushang OR Serval OR Luka/Lynx is my plan. Just gonna take a while to get them all fully equipped...
Gwen definitely has those "high energy" vibes that Susan has, which I am 100% here for, but sadly I doubt I'll be able to use her; no Kafka, and I bled my resources for talent, level, etc dry for my Topaz/Clara team. I could put her in that team, but I also built up Asta beforehand (and wonder if I shoulda done Tingyun instead). Maybe I'll get more of her while I pray for more Topaz Eidolons, and can find a place for her in the future. They will be hard pressed to put a cuter character in.
I love her a lot and she is probably one of my fave charas right now along with Jingliu ngl. My "problem" is that there are so many good Nihility light cones and I just dont know what to put on her, ngl. And I'm also waiting to "see" if they release a DoT set to farm for her. Hopefully she appears in more banners soon to try to max her out.

Yoimiya = Favorite Genshin character Little Gui = Favorite Star Rail character I think I've found my type because these spunky fire girls with the side ponytail always do it for me.
0:34 I’m guessing the only reason they say that is because they’re the type of person to do all the extra story quests for characters. So of course they’re going to like those characters more. I don’t think HSR characters have as much extra story quests for its characters compared to Genshin which has been out for 3 years I like Genshin but sometimes during the story I feel like I’m playing a game made for 12 year olds. I mean Paimon’s voice sounds like she’s on a kids show. HSR story and characters I find to be a bit more interesting and to me it feels more similar to tone of like a Shonen anime which I like a lot more.
I'm not even 5 minutes in and already cracked up laughing (the FF14 bit got me). Also I think she does a lot of fire damage. I can't put my finger on it, but the burning buildings and wildfire she started might be telling us that she really loves using fire. Also an animal lover. That might be the only two reasons I pull for her now.

Guinaifen is HSR version of Yomiya as best girl and fire girl. :) And I think the two characters would get along very well.

She stacks the debuff a bit too slow to be played on her own. She kinda needs Kafka or other burn character for multi wave content.
@kuroh0241 it's why Luka LC on her is amazing. Cone gives extra def shred and she makes the effect aoe.
Space Yoimiya is now officially my favourite character in HSR after physical Guinaifen...also known as Sushang.
I could also see Hook benefiting a lot from Guinaifen due to the amount of burn. I may use Hook since I have her at E5
They're good together as Hook relies on burned enemies and Fire Queen Gwen does that job!

Hook deals increased damage to enemies under burn effect and her burn + vulnerability application finally makes Hook a decent unit aswell.

0:34 I’m guessing the only reason they say that is because they’re the type of person to do all the extra story quests for characters. So of course they’re going to like those characters more. I don’t think HSR characters have as much extra story quests for its characters compared to Genshin which has been out for 3 years
I like Genshin but sometimes during the story I feel like I’m playing a game made for 12 year olds. I mean Paimon’s voice sounds like she’s on a kids show. HSR story and characters I find to be a bit more interesting and to me it feels more similar to tone of like a Shonen anime which I like a lot more.

I'm not even 5 minutes in and already cracked up laughing (the FF14 bit got me). Also I think she does a lot of fire damage. I can't put my finger on it, but the burning buildings and wildfire she started might be telling us that she really loves using fire. Also an animal lover. That might be the only two reasons I pull for her now.
