New Orleans receives: De’Aaron Fox, De Andre Ayton
Detroit receives: Anfernee Simons, Trey Lyles, Colby Jones and 2027 and 2028 second round picks from Portland.
Sacramento receives: Brandon Ingram, Tim hardaway JR, 2030 and 2031 second round picks from New Orleans
Besides Detroit and Sacramento both getting hosed and us getting STUCK with Ayton(expensive). Fox does not want to be here(NOLA)..

I know I know, we’re tanking we’re tanking, however…
We really need to see a change to the way shots are divvied up. Can’t keep having games where CJ is the leading shot-taker. TM3 (and Zion) need 20+ shots a night. CJ (and Dejounte) 15 shots. Maybe it’s about showcasing CJ, but sooner than later they need to address this. TM3 is being held back, and he deserves a clearer runway and a much better shot diet.

Try this on for fit. We just gave up 137 points to a team missing the five players mentioned above. How the heck, did that happen? Like it or not, it takes defense to truly contend in this league...yes, even before 40 three-point attempts a game.
We are miles away from being a complete team, much less a contender.

Ha! Are you complaining about Defensive Rebounds? You were on board with releasing Jonas. Jonas was the only player on the team that committed to defensive rebounding.
If the Pelicans are going to value certain roles like rebounding, and pace, then they should value the role players that provide it. Letting go of Trey Jemison and Elfrid Payton made no sense.
Trading away CJ is a priority. When CJ's shot isn't falling he's a liability on offense and he's always a liability on defense. When his shot is off, it's bad news to have him on the floor because he will hog the ball, take bad shots in his effort to "shoot his way out" of his slump. He makes our centers look bad on defense; they always have to leave their assignment by defending the goal against the guard that CJ allowed to get into the lane. Many of Gafford's score happened away from Messi, on put backs or passes when Messi was defending against CJ's assignment
With Zion, BI, Murray, and Trey, the Pelicans have enough scorers. What they need is someone that is committed to getting them the ball in scoring positions. With Herb, Murray, Green, Jose, and Boston they have capable defenders. They need someone that can take a missed shot off of the glass, and end the possession.
The Pelicans claim to value those roles, they just don't seem to value the players that fill them. The Pels would be a better team with Payton and Jemison than they are with Theis and Brooks/Cain

Everyone saw BI’s limitations in playoffs last season. Where was CJ? Come playoffs you can’t hide, therefore can’t depend on SMALL/SLOW 2 as a PRIMARY player.

Josh Hart averages 9 rebounds a game.
Josh hart is a anomaly when it comes to rebounding at that size. The team needs another center and actual pf to gain some more size.
