"No we won't" followed by the Courier destroying everything in the Hidden Valley seems way hilarious to me fr 😂

@@user-ur7bc6ht1quhhh, why do you think that?
They're good weapons/ammo merchants,
they're not openly hostile, and their quests provide good playthrough time (although is mostly "go fetch" stuff) and they give some precious XP for those task... But I'm ok with that.
Their lore on FNV is very well constructed, showing the inability of the BoS to adapt to those new times. How they became so obsolete, and I found that interesting.
It pains me to admit it, but I don't believe the Mojave Chapter of the BoS has many chances to survive, not with the NCR or the Legion around. But I won't be the one to made them extinct.
I wish they could be more like the BoS under Elder Lyons in FO3. They can still follow their original plan, and make a positive impact on the world at large, even making allies
@@daviddragonheart6798nah I like a couple different takes on the brother hood not all of them gotta be good guys
@@daviddragonheart6798 I'm not sure how versed you're on the lore of Fallout, but the Lyon's Chapter of the BoS is the actual *opposite* of what really is the Brotherhood Of Steel.
Fallout 3 show us the one and only Chapter who dared to take the Codex and use it as toilet paper, contradicting many of the tenets within. The comparison is evident after playing FO3, and then speaking extensively about the Brotherhood with Veronica (and partly with Father Elijah) on FNV.
Fallout, Fallout 2, and even Fallout 4 shows a better picture of the original idea of the Brotherhood (albeit the BoS from FO4 had a more direct, militaristic approach).
In fact, the Brotherhood Outcasts are the *real* Brotherhood on FO3, behaving how they really are, most of the times.
Helping local communities?
Distribution of clean water?
Using Pre-War tech against some danger for the Wasteland and their people?
Is it true they had to step about those situations, one way or another, usually as the only faction capable to turn the tables. But that requires the intervention of the PC (the Vault Dweller, the Chosen One, etc.) because they won't take part otherwise, even less if there's no gain for them.
I really like Lyons and what he did with his Chapter, but he's not the Brotherhood, sadly.
@@battlebacon1442 They're actually indifferent, most of the times.
Unless some third party convince them to act "for the better good" which is a take they follow by default on Fallout 4.
Otherwise, they're not good nor bad.
Their task forbids them to take action on such matters.
I disagree to an extent they can at least survive better under the NCR Peace Treaty you can make happen. McNamara is willing to see reason and change his brotherhood for the better. Hardin the head paladin isn't willing to, if he's made Elder.
Ain't that a kick in the head😂
Perfect song to go with cleaning out Hidden Valley
I was best buds with veronica for the entire game until Mr House made me kill off the BoS. We did almost every single quest together. She left me afterward and took all the stuff I left with her.

the meat within should be mechanically separated and preserved appropriately
They're a""holes but they're desperate this time. I usually keep them alive in the NCR ending thru the truce cause the Legion is that much worse for everyone involved.
Agreed with that mate.
The NCR is just as evil as the Legion.
They both:
Assimilate tribes
Subjugate surrounding populations
Make use of slave labor
Commit atrocities in and out of battles
Have "holier-than-thou" leaders
The Legeon is lowkey the best choice for the reason Ulysses thinks it’s not when the Legeon takes the whole country to the ocean it’ll turn on itself destroying itself leaving a clean slate for the survivors
@@nothanks9503lmao the legion would barely even be able to step foot into California let alone make it to the coast. A weak, under supplied, disorganized and demoralized NCR was able to put up a fight and even push back the legion in the Mojave, imagine what happens when the NCR is fighting for their very survival as a nation.
@@KroonFelix But the Legeon would have subjugated every tribe from the Colorado river to California at least by then the volume of the human wave they could put out would be unstoppable also every person subjugated by the legion would be 1 less tax payer for the NCR

This chapter is one of the nicer ones. I keep the old Elder in place since I think he's the only one that lets me ally them with the NCR for a while so they can survive for longer.
Veronica vouches for you, you complete their quest and get their support, you do the yes man ending, the NCR is curb stomped by an expeditionary force of the CA chapter, 15 years later we have the Amazon show. Only plot armor can stop them now.
I absolutely loved it when I joined the BOS during one of my playthroughs and found out naturally that you could get them to side with the NCR during the battle for Hoover dam
It happened to me, the outpost where Veronica is was one of the last locations I discovered (and I've been around a lot)
She’s literally on the main road to New Vegas from the starting quests…
I maxed out my affinity with her but i sided with Mr. House. Exploding them was regrettable but i wanted an independent vegas. It made the most sense for the west coasts power structure.
Wouldn't a independent new vegas mean killing mr house?
@@dememeitized8048 no, that would be supporting mr. House. Basically New Vegas and the area itself becomes it's own state
@@gatogato3748 ig that makes sense, i just never teamed up with the rich ahole. My ass running to yes man everytime😂
@@dememeitized8048 heh, that's fair. He was quite condescending 😅.
>best for the West coasts power structure
>Independent Vegas lead by a Courier who canonically fucks off
>NCR crippled with President and Generals dead
>BoS most likely dead
>Boomers either dead or isolationist
>Enclave just remnants
>Caeser dead to brain cancer and The Legion fucked back off east
If you pay attention Independent Vegas without House is the absolute worse Ending for Stability in the Mojave. It's all on who can control Yes Man and the Courier isn't around to do that anymore, so the tribes of New Vegas will go back to infighting soon enough.
Like people bitch about the Fallout show having the NCR get nuked, but an Independent Vegas and how you achieve that makes that possible since you know you kill the Head of State and the Head of the Army, and honestly probably did more damage than just Nuking Shady Sands itself (which if it got nuked that does sorta imply exactly who did it from the Sierra Army Depot, but people forget that theres more than just the Mojave Enclave remnants)
I remember once when playing I decided to bring Veronica with me into the bunker to kill everyone, fully expecting her to turn on me.
She did not. I watched her punch Watkins head off during the fight, It turned out as long as I didn't directly talk to her and just used the companion wheel, she'd stay my companion, and only I tried to start dialogue with her would she leave.
Kept her around for a while after, I liked to imagine she was so shellshocked from helping me murder her family she only snapped out of it if I talked to her like a person and not a pack brahmin.
"I know where you live, Ramos."
This actually happened to me during my NCR playthrough lol. I had no idea who veronica was.

mysterious brodcast is so elite
You know it!

“Isolationism is bad, genocide is good”
@@MrTHEMONEEMAKER get the enclave at the same time and you get a real battle
I met Veronica early, and there is a way to get her as a follower AND destroy the bunker. But first the Brotherhood paranoia has to run its course and make them try to kill her in a most cowardly ambush. After that, she will be very forgiving of their total annihilation. BTW, I was very frustrated that the Brotherhood HAD to go in FNV. I liked trading with them. Could have used them at the Dam, as well.
They don't, though. You can make an alliance between them and the NCR, and you don't have to kill them in Yes Man runs
@@insomniagobrrr5542 Must be a later upgrade. I could not see any way to make that happen in FNV.
@@comingviking it's hidden, buggy, and requires finishing the BOS questline to unlock the option. You SHOULD be able to propose a truce at that point to McNamara, but not the usurper who's name I forget, and then you need to talk to Moore at the Dam about it. I forget if it needs a speech check though.
They need to go because they’re basically a weaker version of Mr House’s securitron army, in the sense that any army that goes against them risks being weakened to such an extent they’ll be vulnerable to attack from another faction. House sums it up best, they will never accept a Mojave in which someone is in control with more tech that they can’t control. They’re like a more arrogant and anachronistic than the Khans, and imo far less sympathetic. Also, I know this isn’t technically their fault, but they birthed Elijah, arguably the most evil character in all of FNV, which wouldn’t be as big a deal if they didn’t use his exact methods in order to accomplish their goals. Sorry to sperg out I just really love this game haha.
@@gaulicwarlord I'm a bit nostalgic about the Brotherhood of Steel from playing Fallout 3. So it bothered me a bit having to kill them all. But I did it in a variety of ways. From blowing up their main reactor, to dispatching them mano a mano.
"Will you come peacefully?"
"There is no peace in my world."
My first fallout game was new vegas and I was not familiar with the BOS by the time I found her. I didn't think much of her but seeing her as another thing in a fight for enemies to look at instead of me and another palce to store loot until we could get back to town.
My first knowledge that something was up was when a mugger tried to rob me with a tiny switch blade only to be hit with her power fist and his head popped off like a rated m version of a rock em sock em robots toy
I usually try and do all the quests for em first. Then one woman army kill em all. It's funny to sneakily steal the cards and turn on the turrets or self destruct and run away
I get this is a option, but why do it?
Veronica is sweet, punch happy, sassy as hell, and just wants something better for the west Brotherhood. Also, a very nice dress, since you can't pick up ladies in sweats lol
Definitely wouldn't recommend it or do it on actual play-through, this is purely for content to show you can.
@@UraniumFever76 I know it's content.
Only excuse to do it would be if your going for the achievement with alliance to Ceasar. The most evil route in the four new vegas endings

I actually had this interaction in my kill everyone challenge
just because it seemed fitting for Kill to say that to Veronica
another iconic interaction was when Kill walked up to the ranger by Nelson, told him "name's Kill" and "I've killed the hostages" (this was the first time she and the ranger met)
and the ranger did not find it suspicious at all

i always do the very long BoS quest for the main elder because i love the bos and always join em
I’m realizing as a kid that I completely missed an entire faction. I knew BoS from 3, still my favorite radio of any fallout, but I never really found them as a kid playing NV. Replaying as an adult and I just found them. I was exploring the bunker, didn’t know they existed. Came outside at night and a squad of goons came at me. I’m level 12, and poorly equipped for such an engagement. Rage quit for several months.
Just playing again now after watching the TV show, realized I had SO MANY drugs and food (no stims tho) in my inventory, just lured 2 into a bunker, took a fuck ton of drugs in a single fluid motion and switched my That Gun to AP rounds. Boone and I unloaded. I now have two sets of power armor, playing along for the perk and then wiping them out, usurping House and claiming New Vegas as my own.
Ultimate Fist Bump at the end
That sassy ahh "no we wont"
Honestly wish for a quest where they realize mid fight that you are a force not to be reckoned with and stop fighting. Like it would go back to dialogue and they would be more willing to not be assholes, but you can still resume your attack if you feel like it.
Bro fists collided and her whole body exploded from reverberation. To think if the Courier could get Iron Fist?!
