Every NFL team's final grade for the 2023 draft class one year later
Atlanta Falcons A+, after Kirk’s Achilles didn’t hold up Penix stepped in and lead the Falcons to the NFC Conference game
Baltimore drafted a CB not a Safety like Williams and Hamilton…we got 1 safety with injury concerns and another who’s in the final year of his contract…Baltimore first round pick is an A+
You can tell this channel owner is a steelers fan lol.
I agree
Not to mention how they graded the eagles so highly but not the ravens lol it's cool .. Wiggins will just go on to pro bowl after pro bowl lol
Agreed. The Ravens secondary is full of injury prone CB's, so this is a solid pick.
Thx u
Nate Wiggins a C? That don’t make sense it wasn’t a luxury pick… Brandon is only under contract for this year.. and all are corners have been dealing with injury issues for years now we always need more corners. That pick at the lowest was a B
Wtf .... How you gonna praise the eagles for getting a scary CB trio but say its a luxury pick for the Ravens? You know Hamilton and Williams are safeties right?
This guy must be a Steelers fan
Baltimore picked a CB cause the only starting caliber CB on the roster is Humphrey. Williams and Hamilton are safeties.
Kyle Hamilton is a safety not a corner back.. the more you know 🌈⭐️🌟
11:44 You gave the ravens a c?? And called it a luxury not a necessity??? This pick is only baffling if you have no idea what you're talking about.
The reason why The Ravens took Nate Wiggins is because our secondary was becoming a major weakness with Marlon Humphrey. Their pick of Nate Wiggins should be an A. LET'S GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!
For real
Don’t forget about Tj Tampa
@@KingAT_26 I can't forget about him
Colts were ranked like 28th in pass rush last year. That was absolutely not a strength. Great at stopping the run, but terrible at forcing pressure.
Latu was a home run pick.
Bingo. Bet you get better play from the secondary if this guy can help the line get to the QB quicker
This video will not age well lol. Ravens picked Nate Wiggins because of CB depth, Marlo was hurt, Ronald Darby gone, Rock ya sin was 🗑️ but he gone, bstevens is good and Maulet too. We needed more help in the secondary
Hamilton is a SS marcus is a FS ravens had marlo who had a down year bsteve who was basically CB1 Jaylon amour davis who injur prone maulet who a slot Cb pepe who a slot Cb and injury prone
Explain how wiggins is a C for the ravens when marlo is getting old and cb been an injury prone position for them… sure they have williams and hamilton but they are safeties… not corners…
Terrific Terrion Arnold get's an A+ but he'll be all well and good with Detroit Lions he's real like an incredible of a player 9:40
Feel like drafts grades aren’t really final until down the line
Chicago Bears fans are extremely ecstatic that they finally got a brand new franchise QB with Caleb Williams A+ no doubt about it 0:30
The Graham Barton pick should be at least a B+ or A-. He was the number one center on the draft board and having him fall all the way to 26. When he should've been a top 15 pick was a steal for Tampa
Ravens took Wiggins because the secondary always get injured
same reason the niners took a WR
Falcons drafting Michael Penix Jr. would definitely be considered a bust based on the Kirk Cousins extension situation!
No it's not if kirk gets hurt😂
I would give the Giants an A+ for selecting Malik Nabers 6th overall from LSU.
High Praise for the Vikings, TPS you alright?
Idk
Wdym, they had a good draft?
The media, and comments have convinced me as a falcons fan that we were an edge rusher away from the Super Bowl.
Please tell me what player would catapult the 7-10 falcons to being over the Lions, 49ers, cowboys, or eagles? Like is Dallas turner that good and I just don’t know ball?
The situation isn’t ideal but the hate for the MPJ pick is wild. Just He was the 4th qb on most lists. They don’t wanna go with projects anymore. Him sitting at least one full year sucks but he of likely the guy for the franchise for a long while.
that and look at the packers for the past twenty years, they were criticized for taking rodger’s, then again for Love, y’all made a smart choice especially since you may not have a first rounder next year
@@coolcaleb3887Jordan Love was 21 when he was drafted. Way different situation here.
@@sodaflatso tf what the game is made for quarterbacks to play longer and to protect them so what of he’s 23,24
@@sodaflat while that’s true Kurt Warner was 28 when he started, Quarterbacks take time to develop and even if he starts at 28 he’s got 10 great years and maybe 4 good ones
One player who is actually able to play will help more than one riding the bench. Terrible move! I hope MPJ requests a trade.
Such a good channel
nah
With the Colts drafting Latu it was because the stats are misleading. We had a VERY low pressure rate but we got sacks. Those sacks were on first or second down, and never when they mattered. They even declined Paye’s option, and they needed some rotational help as well
Ricky Pearsal is a former teammate of BA and plays like Deebo. He is a perfect fit for the Niners scheme. Plus they were able to get upgrades on the oline for much cheaper.
Pretty sure this is literally the only person I've seen say Pearsal was a reach.
First, hi, love your video TPS and keep up the great work you are awesome and as a Raiders fan I take it
Just watched this whole video for bro to say Nate Wiggins was C?!
2:00 I agree Joe Alt IS the best Defensive Lineman. Wtf tps.
They messed that up and messed up the fact that Herbert's blind side has been protected by Slater.
He says offensive lineman he just says effensive and combines the t and o and it sounds like defensive. He does this for every ol
The C grade for the Wiggins pick is crazy
As a Seahawks fan I totally agree with the Byron Murphy. We needed help in that department
Bo Nix is definitely an A+ in my opinion. He is the most underrated QB in the draft despite breaking numerous NCAA records.
Olumuyiwa Fashanu is a perfect fit for the Jets he will protect Rodgers but nonetheless he will get an A for real 4:40
Colts had the best draft of any team the last decade
wym ?
How so?
js to finish second is crazy
The steelers not only drafted Troy Fautanu in the first round in the second round, but they drafted Zach Frazier Center from West Virginia. It's arguably one of the best centers in this whole draft. Who i'm sure is going to be a multiple pro bowler. So it's definitely safe to say that pittsburgh's running games definitely gon to be improved and past protection too.
I think the Steelers, Dolphins and Eagles had a great draft.
49ers picked one the best route runners and pass catchers. Next year, maybe even this year, this pick may look like a steal.
especially when deebo gets hurt and ayiuk gets traded or becomes a free agent
Rome Odunze get's an A+ cause he's gonna be a special player with a QB like Williams who will throw him the ball 3:55
I gotta say the draft of Byron Murphy Seattle’s defensive line needed help that should help
Penix's Jr was a good pic for the Falcons at #8! I give the Falcons a , A plus for Taking The Best Deep Ball Passer in the Draft!
Quinyon Mitchell A+ he will be an amazing CB Duos with Cooper DeJean who was picked in the 2nd Round 8:55
These types of videos should be watched as a before and after type deal lol
The evaluation on Amarius Mims is completely incorrect. He will be on the right side of the offensive line, and Trent Brown is on a one year deal. Mims will anchor the right tackle position once Brown heads out.
The Falcons want to develop their franchise QB from the bench and have him play when he's ready. It's worked for the Packers for 30 years.
2 of those defensive backs that you mentioned for the Ravens are safeties, not cornerbacks like Wiggins. Not to mention Humphrey and Williams are injury-prone. Besides, the Ravens believe in drafting the best player available rather than drafting for need. It's served them well since they became a franchise. I think you are way off base on that one.
Funny how Penix will play until hes 30 too
Packers grade seems a mite harsh. Yeah, Guyton and Barton were still on the board, but Morgan fits a very specific profile -- he has a chance to be a starting tackle, but if he doesn't work out there (or someone else outplays him), they can kick him inside to guard rather than it just being a wasted pick. Barton isn't really an NFL tackle and Guyton may not be able to kick inside. It might not be the fans' favorite pick but I can see the vision, and there's something to be said for versatility (especially with a young O-line that could still be shifted around in other places as well).
As for trading back, it seems like teams were higher on Morgan than the draft community; per reports, there were a couple of teams coming up right behind the Packers that had Morgan at or near the top of their boards, so they actually probably *couldn't* have traded down and still gotten him.
Also, if a team drafts based on how their players "FEEL" about is DOOMED!
I still can’t believe the falcons took Michael Penix Jr over not only JJ Mcarthy and Bo nix but ignoring there biggest need edge rusher and not taking Dallas turner is absolute bone headed like the falcons did take Kirk cousins successor but why not trade down with the either someone like the raiders or broncos trade up and get Penix Jr or trade down and get him later like it still doesn’t make sense and honestly for people saying the broncos taking Bo nix is a risk is boneheaded because he best fits Denver and will thrive with court land Sutton and now his college teammate Troy Franklin who somehow fell to Denver in the 4th round and I honestly don’t blame the raiders taking Brock bowers.
I think Penix has better potential than JJ or Nix. Penix has a stronger arm than them. If he can learn from Kirk Cousins, the upside is great for him. And a QB is more important than an edge rusher
@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xlWhile I agree that Penix is better than Bo Nix or JJ McCarthy, the problem is where they drafted him at. If you have a pick in the top 10 you should use it to go after a position that you need the most and right now with Kirk Cousins being the clear QB1 on the roster, their top 10 pick should not have been used for a guy in the same position
Taliese Fuaga was the guy I wanted Steelers to take if they'd would have moved up 5:58
This channel just hates Tennessee 😂😂
And atl
Hey TPS, haven’t request this in a while and I don’t know if you have done this before, but can you do a video where you list 5 nfl teams that will be way better in 2024 than 2023 and 5 nfl teams that will be way worse in 2024 than 2023?
I believe Ladd McConkey Adonai Mitchell or other wide receivers would made sense to the Panthers who trade up to the last pick at 32nd of the 2024 nfl draft 12:57
You can criticise the Penix pick sure, but the Falcons couldn’t afford to trade down and take him, as the Raiders and Seahawks were willing to trade into the top 10 for him.
You really don't seem to get the Bengald draft choice. Hendrickson can request a trade all day long, he signed a contract extension last year and is on contract for the next two seasons. Turning 30 this year sitting out isn't really an option for him as well. Mims can learn from both Browns and with Trent missing 32 games in the last 5 years there's a good chance he'll get to start in a handfull of games.
As a Tar-Heels fan I'll give Drake Maye an A as well cause like the Bears & Commanders New England has now got a Quarterback out of North Carolina with the 3rd overall pick in the 1st Round so Good Luck Drake Maye enjoy your moment man👍🏽 1:11
Just fyi, even though the colts had 50 sacks they still finished 27th in QB pressure. Edge is a massive need. I do agree that I wanted CB here, but Latu is a fantastic pick. Best rusher in the draft at #15…….At minimum this grade should be A- (just because of his injury history)
My thing with Penix if we do what we were suppose to and get one of the top edge rushers in free agency, the Penix pick isn’t that bad especially if we don’t sign Cousins to that massive contract Falcons are aggravating
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤
Grade every NFL team's 2024 draft class!!
@ TPS so you think that the Ravens having 2 star safeties and only 1 star CB is good enough to make the draft pick of Wiggins a bad pick 🤣🤣 way wrong on your end A+ pick for the Ravens
I think the Penix wasn’t bad…it was signing Kirk to such a large contract what makes the pick look 👀 bad. This just means Kirk will only be with the Falcons for two years, but the team should have signed a stopgap quarterback and used the money tied up with Kirk to sign more free agents.
The Chiefs were picking a wide receiver well before the Rice incident. That was a very shallow receiving core last season.
I finally agree with TPS
Don't overthink it. Drafting Penix is an F. He was not only good enough to justify being a first round pick, but he's older, and the Falcons could've traded for Justin Fields who is an unquestionable upgrade over Penix since you're all but wasting the value of the rookie contract anyways.
When one of the best offensive line coaches ever and future hall of fame line coach says that jc latham is the best player and best offensive line player you listen very least a B a c+ is low
The TRULLY effed up thing is the Falcons would've had a better chance of winning the superbowl in the next 1-3 years NOT signing Cousins, and instead using that money elsewhere. Then draft Penix, and let him play right away. Cousins gives you a very defined ceiling, and we all know where that ceiling is.
So to recap, Cousins will make them competitive, but most likely not even sniff a superbowl for the next few years. If Penix is as good as they think, Cousins will potentially hold them back for a few years, while also they miss out on Penix's cheap years.
Just a very sloppy way of building a team. We'll see if this regime is just sloppy in general, or if it was just one miscalculation
Jayden Daniels will be the best quarterback of this draft class.
I agree with the Tennessee I was so mad when Joe Alt went to LAC but I was like ok so will get Olu and as soon as JC's name was said I shut the draft off
I can understand why u gave the packers a C but I feel like at this point you can’t say almost any Gutey O Line pick is bad
Yes an A+ for Maserati Marvin Harrison Jr to the Cardinals with the 4th pick and #1 WR off the board 1:38
Why only first round… can you do a teams full draft class grades?
49ers have maybe the best team in the league. They've been doing very good for so long. Some TH-cam accounts and some random journalists "this is an awful pick" "its an overreach". Yeah sure you understand football more than one of the best franchises of all time and also of the last couple of years
1:25 I thought Noah Fifita wasn’t eligible until 2026
I hate how they base most of their grades off of player ranks instead of the actual players and how they perform
Green Bay Packers should have drafted Tyler Guyton he going to be great for Dallas Cowboys 🤯
The rams really like the name Jared
U can’t do draft grades without seeing them play in the nfl
How do you keep saying defensive lineman instead of offensive
I'm Bryce Young won't have no problem or no excuses about this pick of Xavier Leggett into the 1st Round 32nd overall 12:28
I really hope that Penix turns out to be the best QB of this draft, just so everyone can choke on their grades of the Falcons for drafting him
Plus I'm a Huskies fan
I’m sure he’ll be great 100%, but he’s ready to start imo, and the Falcons are going to waste him away by sitting him behind Cousins instead of helping him like they think they’re doing
Now if they would do their research better, they would realize there is a possibility the 9ers could lose their top 3 wideouts and are bound to lose at least 1 so why not take a stud like Pearsall? Give them a bad grade because “experts” didnt have him ranked higher than some of the other guys instead of the player he actually is
Commanders like the Bears have a franchise QB in Jayden Daniels yes he deserves an A cause they are moving in the right direction to be future Super Bowl Contenders 0:48
I don't know why my 49ers didn't go OL, Williams isn't going to play forever.
The Vikings trading up for McCarthy gets an A, but the Broncos staying put and getting Nix gets a B-. This channel really is a clownshow
Joe Alt to the Chargers was a great pick an A is a worthy grade but at the same time they do needed a WR too 2:00
I give it a B+ because he’s great but a wr was needed more in my mind
Cousins will make a good backup QB. :P
Colts don’t have elite pass rushers especially on the outside that’s why they did it
Giving the best player available at 30 and best shutdown corner in the draft a 'C' is a travesty.
It was interesting
Nate Wiggins a C what y’all smoking on😂 Marlon is almost 30 Bsteve is on the final year after that who they got. They drafted a future pro bowl player at db wit speed that can keep up with the rookie wr from the Chiefs ….this was a A or at least a A- pick
Let's see who's better off 2026-2030, Falcons or Jets, neither is winning a SB in the next 2 years, guaranteed!
I like what the Falcons did. NFL teams are usually far too short-sighted, Falcons have joined GB in realizing there is another season after this one 😊
Byron Murphy get's an A+ cause Seattle will be a excellent place 6:57
Bryce Young is out of excuses? Man still has no O-line, mid to bad runningback room, and no talent on the defensive side of the ball even if he could play lights out every game. How the hell is one receiver supposed to fix all of those problems?
👍🏾🔥
Tps needs that OBJ isn't a good tackle.
Wow, you are literally the only person I've seen claim the Pearsal pick was awful. Really makes the other grades seem a bit harder to take serious.
3:48 you just said the Drake Maye can sit and learn, same with this pick..why are you acting like you dont understand
Ok what we learned Joe alt is a DT
lol does this channel do hmw before the videos or do they just say wild stuff Hamilton and Williams are both safety’s and Marlon is always hurt we always have CB problems because of injuries
I think hes a steelers fan.
I'm hoping Harrison Jr will win a Super Bowl Championship Ring I really do 1:50
I think the jaguars got Brian Thomas Jr. So they could cut Zay Jones and free up cap space
That was one of if not the most surprising of a pick in the draft the Falcons took Michael Penix Jr with the 8th overall but you really should've took Dallas Turner LB Alabama no offense to Penix Jr 3:22
Xavier Worthy to the back to back Champs Chiefs had to certainly make MaHomes really happy right now but now you gotten the fastest man not only in the combine but in the draft too it's not the Chiefs fault that the Buffalo Bills blew it by not keeping the 28th pick to get this guy so it is what it is 11:00
Dallas Turner A+ sure but the Falcons will regret not drafting him 7:14
