This makes my fitted Aerojet Driver and Aerojet Max 3 Wood look so much better going into 2025. As I'm not a boy racer, I didn't need a murdered out driver as an upgrade. Kudos to Cobra for making great and competitive products, but nobody needs to upgrade from Aerojet to Darkspeed. However; if you want to for aesthetics I fully understand your preference without sharing it.
@@crk2288 These drivers have been limited to 1.50 smash for 10+ years. The only way someone is getting more distance in 2024 is because of a poor fit or mayyyyybe there is a smidge of performance when you spray it around the face. But looking at the smash factor on the darkspeed's.... they aren't working any miracles.
The biggest performance benefits of new drivers nowadays is on off-center strikes. As you said, speed off the center of the face has been limited at 1.50 smash, so there is a maximum efficiency a driver can achieve. But when you see folks talk about higher ball speeds with newer drivers, it's from the average ball speed when including mishits. Driver faces are so much more forgiving now than even five years ago!
I have a Cobra LTD x I am 69 years old. I like the driver its quite consistant, good distance and dispersion is good. I seem to hit it high. The loft is set at 9°
To me it looks like there’s not a huge difference from year to year with clubs. He hit better with the aero jet with left to right dispersion and also barely lost any distance. And you can save yourself 150+ dollars with the aerojet.

I still use LTDx
Cobra is extremely underrated. Especially their king tour irons.
Agreed!!
Loved the aerojet and wasn't going to change it this year but the darkspeed for me was way better. Ballspeed up almost 10mph distance up 15yrds
That difference seems like more than just a one year newer club head...

And to add, I hit this driver LTD x high on the face, so I tee it quite low.
If the dispersion is that wide apart then this is not a good demo 😂
The swing was too erratic to get a fair test here.
“Yea 100%”
