You can actually check the exact oil level, you have to go in the hidden menu on the w203 - on key position 2 , go to the default menu screen - the total odometer , then press the dashboard reset button quickly 3 times - a service menu will appear, one of the pages shows the exact oil level in liters. Thanks for the vid, im servicing a 2007 E220 and this helped a lot.
Thank you for the kind words and the subscribe! Glad it helps, you'll be happy with the C200 cdi I'm sure. They're not rocket ships of course but they're very reliable and fairly straightforward to work on. Ours has faithfully served for years now!
I will be subscribing !! Ive just bought a 2008, CLK, 220 cdi sport with same engine ! I like your attention to detail with cleaning the engine bay, so we r like minded. Ive been going over everything checking, ive done the service and cleaned the MAF sensor and EGR valve. You mentioned the crankcase breather !! So will be looking for you to do that and i will follow !!!!!!
the fuel filter clips are clic clips you can buy the pliers for them much easier and also you can use an elec oil extractor to remove oil like i do also you can buy a oil filter socket much easier
You're very right, right tools for the job will make it much easier with those clips. I made do without luckily :) I dont mind draining the oil however, allows me to check it for any particles/shavings on an older/higher mileage car to check engine condition!
I've had one of these for years - decided about time I looked after it myself - so massive thanks. If you've recommendations for which parts please share those, too! Subscribed.
No problems and thanks for subscribing, much appreciated! :) It's fairly easy to work on these, mostly laid out in a logical way apart from thermostat (check latest video for a painful removal and refit!). I use Mann for all filter, any good brand like Mann or Bosch will be absolutely fine!
@@Lemma01 great but odd timing 😂 check the video (sorry to plug my own stuff!) It's not a terrible job just a bit fiddly, but also pretty cheap. Mine was running at about 60 on long runs and mpg was suffering terribly for it so had to do it
Thank you very much for this! Any additional updates on w203 would be appreciated since I'm trying to figure out what usually fails on these suspension-wise.
No problems :) They're prone to control arms both upper and lower, well, the bushes in them tend to go. Then just the usual stuf really, drop link bushes the dust cover can be torn and theyre a front heavy car so sometimes coil springs snap (happened on mine). Nothing mega specific I'm aware of :)

@@overdriven77 no problem :)
what size was the allen key for the fuel filter clamp bolt? was it 5mm?
I believe it's either a 4 or 5 yes :)
Marginalised majority finally got freedom of movement and access to cities and the grif was put underpressure. It has nothing to do with ANC rulling
I think you've commented this on the wrong video? 😂
FUCHS!!!!!!
