Fix double cutline problem

Ever have the issue in Versaworks where you're getting a double cutline? See here how to fix that in Illustrator.

It’s hard to say without seeing a file but if I’m being totally honest, sometimes there’s a glitch and it just happens. But I would venture a guess that most of time, it’s just user error. I know myself, I’ve hit CMND+C and CMND+F too many times by accident cuz I just get trigger happy in the keyboard without noticing it.

So my question is how to avoid this from happening ? , What am I doing wrong adding a cut line to have them double up in the first place.?
