    John Legend's voice is the icing on the Faouzia cake. No-one else could pull this song off without John Legend. When combined with Faouzia's deep and rich voice and John Legend's smooth and effortless tone and runs is EPIC!!! I love her voice.

    She likes to darken her lower range by rounding her mouth shape a lot which makes it sound super full. And with her upper range, she lightens it so much and can mix up to an A5. Her head voice is has a resonant quality to about 90%. And she’s got whistle register too; and she’s only 20! Her technique is amazing. Watch out other artists bc Faouzia will b on top one day😇

    Faouzia isn't an alto though she's a mezzosoprano! But this song SLAPS for real! I LOVE Faouzia's music! You really should check out more of Faouzia! She does a lot of stripped songs! And her voice has a really fast virbrato that makes it sounds like she has natural autotune which is LOVELY. Many others have pointed it out in reactions

    Hey Matt! At 2:37 when you said "Compare her voice to John's" I agreed that they matched quite well but I also noticed how his voice sounded a bit higher/thinner. This is something which confuses me a lot. Sometimes when my sister sings something in her "normal" range and I sing the same thing it sounds like I'm singing one octave above her. Of course the average male voice is deeper than the female voice but is it really a whole octave? This may be a dumb question and I have to admit that I'm always confused when I think about it :D

    • @terakahn
      @terakahn 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think its just the fact that the lower parts of a person's range sound thicker and richer. So even if you can hit the same notes, the tonal quality is very different. It's still the same octave but it sounds very different.
      I noticed this a lot when I try to sing her songs, and sing the same notes in entirely different sounds.

    • @timons7446

      He singing high for his actual baritone range. That could be why his voice is thinning out a bit.

    • @ramseyvoicestudio
      @ramseyvoicestudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You all have it exactly right, his voice gets thin at the top of his range and hers is rich and deep at her low range

    Amazing video! But is she an Alto? I always thought she is a coloratura mezzo-soprano

    • @Rosannasfriend
      @Rosannasfriend 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I accept it, because alto is not the same as a control too. Contralto is the actual vocal fach , while in alto is simply a role you’re given in the choir that has little to do with where your voice it’s really. I agree that she is a mezzo-soprano.

    Faouzia is not an alto. Just bc a girl can hit low notes with power does not make them an alto. Natalie Weiss is one of the greatest sopranos and she projects her lows (like a C#3) just as well as Faouzia. I would definitely call Faouzia a soprano bc she can support her mix HIGH and make it as light or dark as she wants
