My favorite book was The Bodyguard, which led me to a new favorite author in Katherine Center also. I discovered Abby Jimenez this year too, and loved Yours Truly.
My favorite book of 2024, so far, is The Women. But, I'm in line for a library copy of All The Colors of The Dark by Chris Whitaker and I'm really expecting to love that one. I read Behind the Beautiful Forevers some years ago and loved it. So, I hope you get to that one before the end of the year.
My favorite so far is Brotherless Night! You’ve got so many great books on your list and I haven’t read any of them. I have The Women on my tbr for this month.
@@darlenefarley8193 Awesome! That’s not one I have much interest in reading because I never really watched Henry Winkler’s stuff, but I’m glad you loved it!
Enjoyed your content! I also am unable to choose one favorite book. My top five are Attack of the Black Rectangles by Amy Serig King. Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame (if you are a fan of the Great British Baking Contest), Roxy by Neal Shusterman, The Light In Hidden Places by Sharon Cameron, and The Authenticity Project by Clare Pooley. I am also a huge fan of Katherine Center and can't wait for the Rom Commers!
Like you, I can't choose. I just finished Moloka'i by Alan Brennert, which was amazing. A great historically accurate historical fiction about a leper colony on Moloka'i. It follows a girl throughout her lifetime from the late 1890s through 1970. I also loved Kindred by Octavia E. Butler. I read Funny Story last month and loved it. I hope you do as well when you get to it.
I too was really disappointed in Everything Else In The Universe. I ended up DNFing it around 80 pages or so. Some of my favorites so far are Jurassic Park, Annie Bot, Force of Nature by Ann E. Burg (middle grade), and How To Keep House While Drowning.
a favorite for this year so far is The Maid by Nita Prose. a mystery and fast pace read, couldn't put it down book I have The Women by Kristin Hannah on my tbr, just haven't gotten to yet, I have read all of her books, she is a favorite author of mine.
I'm finally reading House in the Cerulean Sea - started it this morning. I know I'm going to love it and I'm looking forward to reading the sequel! I think I'm going to go all the way back to book #1 for my favorite so far, which is As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow. I still think about that book!
I've read them all except Funny Story! House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my faves. Also loved Happy Place. Unfortunately, ACOWAR was my least favorite in that series so far.
My favorite book so far is probably the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. Yes, it’s a series, but they are pretty short. I might have mentioned this before, but I could not get through the Lovely Bones. I don’t think I’m giving anything away to say that a girl dies, cuz the book is all about her afterlife. But I just couldn’t get past her death. I don’t care what anyone says. I will never stop loving or reading JK Rowling. I just finished a re-read of the Robert Galbraith books. If you haven’t tried them, I highly recommend. And I’m currently on book six of my millionth re-read of Harry Potter, this time for the Chapter a Day fantasy challenge. I’m wayyyy ahead of schedule, but I don’t care! :-)
@@MarysInks I couldn’t get into the Murderbot Diaries! Maybe too sci-fi for me? Thanks for the tip on The Lovely Bones. And yes, me too. I love HP and will always read it.
The Women is my best book too. I finished Just for the Summer this morning; I loved it.
@@melissapalmer9140 yes!! They’re both so good!
Favorite books so far are The Measure and The Lonely Hearts Book Club. Two totally different genres yet great study of people and how they interact.
Two that I really want to read!!
I've added a Brilliant Night of Stars and Ice to my tbr because of you.
