    some people are just never happy. if Stephen wakes up, it’s a problem. If Stephen sleeps, it’s a problem cuz he’s not helping. where is the logic in that?! I promise you that these people are jealous that you both work as a team and they don’t have that. you’re both doing amazing ❤

      Exactly well said he would get a lot more hate If he didn’t do anything you know I mean these days normally dad’s fathers don’t do anything and let the woman do it all I’m currently pregnant. I’m going to see how my boyfriend does so I can’t say he will help and I can’t say he won’t but he has said he will help as much as possible which is really good for me if I was on TH-cam I’d probably get hate for that too

      Frankly, IMO I’m glad Stephen gets up and helps out in the middle of the night. That cute little girl is half his responsibility (not at all saying he doesn’t see things that way, I’m saying it seems like some people in the audience don’t see it that way)

    As a mom to a 4 year old, I think I can speak for a lot of moms when I say, I really wish I would’ve taken advantage of the baby wearing and contact napping at the newborn age. The nights are long, days are short and years are even shorter. Don’t blink. ♥️ y’all are doing an amazing job.

      @@river4462 This isn’t what they chose. They’re obviously aware of the many ways people choose to raise their family. The end goal is a happy, healthy baby.

    I tried EBF my first, got discouraged with pumping and seeing you succeed is amazing. I’m now EP for my second baby and am 4 days PP, just got my first total of 1.75oz and I’m so happy. This is such a labor of love.
    Just came here to say keep up the great work, being a mom is amazing.

    • @IsabellaL9659
      @IsabellaL9659 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is such un unfair expectation he just has to “get up when he can” and “as long as he is there” but she HAS to get up all the time and can’t just be there but actually do the work. How does that expectation work for the actual parent of the child. He has to do it and get up just as much as she does. That child is half his and the responsibilities are equally on both of them. No one can be a great dad is they are not actually being a dad and picking and choosing when they will get up and what they will do. This is not a good expectation to have of an actual parent.

    For the burned cinnamon rolls try using parchment paper under them while baking. It really helps. For luna’s tummy maybe some probiotic drops will help. We had to use them on my 8 month old granddaughter for awhile. They helped her tremendously

    I have a 6 month old who I held literally almost 24/7 and now he’s in his own bed in his room and I can’t believe how fast time flies. He can self settle despite me holding him all the time as a newborn. Don’t let people tell you you’ll make her dependent on you to sleep when she’s older because she won’t be and one day she won’t want to cuddle and you’ll miss it. Soak in those newborn cuddles cause they’ll be gone soooo fast🥺

    Jealous of how much you can pump! I exclusively breastfeed with occasionally pumping while I work, but I can barely produce 2 oz at a time which I’ve heard is normal for breastfeeding but I get so much pride when I can get a 4 oz! Most I ever got was 7 oz when I was engorged 😂 but also you deserve praise for being able to handle pumping, I only pump twice a week and cry almost every time with the stress of it and cleaning everything 😩

    • @dasheimataiti
      @dasheimataiti ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally know how you feel Mama! I also exclusively breastfeed and pump a few times a week, I have definitely cried a few times trying to clean&pump as much as I can, even tried pumping on one and feeding on the other simultaneously. Breastfeeding or exclusively pumping, we’re all tired mamas nurturing our babies the best we can and that’s huge! From one Mama to another, you are doing an amazing job! 💞

      I am exclusively pumping for almost seven months and the best advice I got is to get a hands free pump (like youha the ins) and put your pump in the fridge after you use it, then you don’t have to steralize everything after one session 😊

      Seconding this. At least the bathwater part, which is what I did when my daughter was born, and it works so good for keeping your baby's skin healthy! My (now 4 y/o) daughter never got even a hint of diaper rash or irritation, and her skincare routine was super minimal, just a little Mustela lotion and that's it.
      I've noticed this recommendation isn't mentioned much in America, and I actually got this tip from my SIL who lives in Germany, apparently it's pretty common in Europe. Definitely a 10/10 skincare hack!

All i did was do little tummy exercises for her to help pass gas and eat better and avoid gassy food that could be passed down to her. I stopped drinking caffeine because of it 💔 strictly decaf now. U can read up on these foods or ask her pediatrician. Mine told me veggies fruits garlic caffeine that i consume could pass her gas. And omg 3oz?! That is not luck that is a father being a father. A women is not the only one who has all the responsibilities on her it is equally in both parent so a father doing his responsibility is not helping and that is not luck. I am so sorry your mom had to do most of the work but she did not deserve that at all and if it would have been fair for her she would not have been lucky since that is what she deserved in the first place. If a women has a partner that is quite literally doing what they signed up for as a parent, and not just helping but actually sharing responsibility equally as they are equally as the parent, she is not lucky she just had someone that is doing their job just like she is. Imagine calling someone lucky for the parent of their child being an actual parent, that’s not luck it’s what they are supposed to be doing.

    Do you let the cat in thr bedroom at night? Does it try to go in the bassinet? I have a cat and wondering how you all adjusted with your pets.

    Comotomo bottles and dr brown bottles are said to be good. Those are the ones I have on my baby registry.

    Make sure when Stephen feeds Luna that he isn't letting in any air bubbles. When you all woke up at 5 a.m. (I think that's when it was) he pretty much had the bottle laying down feeding her. I've always heard air bubbles are bad..

      @jyoung6366 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s actually recommended to place the bottle so that the milk is slowly going. Air isnt as big of an issue as it would be tipping it upside down so that it overfills her like too quickly

    • @len2489
      @len2489 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jyoung6366 I've never heard of that. I thought the bottles don't let milk flow too fast. I'm not sure. Like I said, that's just what I've always heard. I could be wrong, though.

    • @jyoung6366
      @jyoung6366 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@len2489 it depends on the way the baby gulps. It really doesn't matter too much about the air in the bottle, from what my lactation class said
