Actually, I'm with her on this. Gesture drawings are supposed to encapture the gesture focusing mainly on the movement of the body and only using as many details as necessary for the pose. You on the other hand seemed to capture everything in your drawings. This is not supposed to be an offense. I think your drawings look awesome. I just would have categorized them differently, if you hadn't said they were gesture drawings. :)
