Hello. Great video! I was hope your could make a video, explaining how to setup the app. I downloaded it but when I got to the wifi part, I couldn't get passed it.
Would it be safe to put this in a mudroom where there is no heat rather then outside in freezing tempatures? Also what kind of plug does it have is it a special one ? Or can u just put in in a regular outlet
In this video do you have it in the garage? Or an out building? I would like to put one in are garage for the winter months then outside for the summer.. What’s your thoughts for the garage? Thanks Eric
Works amazingly in the garage. I've had mine in my garage for 4 years now and literally just got done using it! Just keep garage doors open when in use for adequate air filtering and you should have zero issues with mold or anything! :]
@@TubTalkReviews We have a seasonal site in a campground, are they very noisy while running? We have approval from mgt. to purchase but want to be good neighbors. Thanks for the quick response to previous question
Not too noisy. We’ve taken them camping and you’ll be fine. The San Francisco, we’re getting ready to review it in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Because it is more expensive, I think people expect a lot out of it. But these inflatable, hot tubs are only so limited in what they can do. From what I’ve read from the reviews, people just expect too much out of it. I have tried a lot of Saluspa hot tubs, and all have been great so far! but we will have to see with this one, as it’s kind of uncharted territory.
I just received mine about 3 weeks ago. I wish that it came with a larger heating pump. They seem to be using the same pump in their 2-4 person spa and in my opinion it’s just way underpowered for this size spa. The other issue I have is that even when covered, it loses heat pretty fast. I cover it at night and shut it off to save electricity and by the morning it’s already low 90s. Then if I turn it back on at 10am it will only get to about 96 by 10pm. Again this goes back to the site of the pump being way to small for this size spa. Thank you for all your reviews.
Hey! Thanks for your comment! It did take a LONG time to heat up. With that said, we didn't really have issues with it losing heat. We also didn't typically turn it off overnight. I would recommend leaving it running or using the timing feature. I'd say, it's only heating up about 50% of the time, while the other 50%, it's hovering around 104. We've noticed it takes almost as much (slightly less) electricity to reheat it than it does to just keep it running. Because once it's at the desired temp it turns off for 20 to 30 minutes at a time, until it needs to turn back on again. Like an AC. Additionally, you could use the timer feature to get it heating up early in the morning so you could make better use of it at night. With all that said, we were keeping the Grenada in the garage where it is a bit better insulated. Let me know if those tips help out. And best of luck and thanks for watching! :)
That was my biggest concern with this one was the amount of water this one needed to warm up. Felt like it would be much more expensive to run than the smaller models. I’d be interested to know electrical usage information over time, though I know that’ll be dependent on the user’s climate.
the reason for the long heat process is the 110v cord... there is no way to get more power for it to run the heat, the air pump and filter in the 20 amp 110v line to do more then it is. Keeping in mind, 99% of the people use these outside the house ( like I do ) with an extension cord ( like I do ) and expecting this to do more is unrealistic with a 110v plug... any more then these all in 1 pump units would need 220x or separate cords for heat, pump, air.
If power goes out and comes back on when I'm away on vacation, the set temperature setting gets reset putting the unit in powered "off" mode. Will Freeze Sheild keep the water from freezing?
You have to add bromine or chlorine, whichever you like best. Once adding it initially, you should be able to use the test strips that come with the tub to make sure the water is still sanitizing and at proper levels. If the pH levels are low, then you will add more of your chemicals. Bromine - amzn.to/3KhbU54 Chlorine - amzn.to/4byhhc6
Question regarding heating: how long does the Grenada to heat up compared to the 4 person green Saluspa tub? We'd like to use it during the winter here in Missouri and it frequently gets into the 30s or even below in winter. Just wondering if the smaller one would be easier to heat and keep warm similar to the comment from salvatorediciaccio below? Also, if it's in the 20s and 30's would you recommend draining and storing instead till warmer temps. I watched your winter video and suppose I could just keep running throughout teh winter with added insulated blankets etc. I actually bought the Grenada from Walmart for $398 and thought it was a great deal compared to the much smaller tub currently for $500+ on Amazon and Walmart both. Have not received the tub yet, just hoping I made the right choice. :)
We have the Green one but wish we had kept the Grenada. We are also in MO and keep ours in the garage during the winter. You’ll need to keep it somewhere like this where it’s decently insulated or else it will likely struggle during the winter months.
I cant keep it hot. I get in at 104 degrees and in 30 minutes its down to 95, in an hour its at 93 and I am in a garage with outside temperature of 75. Any suggestions besides dont use the air jets?
That does seem rather fast, normally after 30 minutes we’re down to 100. I’m not sure - maybe keep the garage closed? What’s the temperature/humidity like where you’re located?
I have the St Moritz myself, IMO well worth the money, I was going to buy a $4k unit, but I was like, what can I lose for $440 from Sams Club… ( I checked just now and yes Sam's has this one in stock ) here I am 2 years later in las vegas and it is still working, on my 3rd year now and I leave it on year round, I only heat it up for 2 months of the year, April and Oct... the summer in vegas keeps it hot enough to not need to heat the water and the reason of the year it is pumping, but the heat wont come on unless it feels it is near icing. so instead of breaking it down I just clean it out each April and start the year a new...
It’s not recommended but its been done and people and they have been okay. I’ll say what the company’s say for liability reasons which is don’t do it below 40 degrees. They say the heater has a hard time heating the water, and if you get an error and the tub shuts off and the pipes freeze it could damage it. But there are ways to help prevent this, which we cover in the video. BUT we’ll be making an updated video this winter where we try it out ourselves.

We recommend a 220 volt, anything lower than 120v is not enough. We also don't recommend using extension cords at all as it is a safety hazard and can damage the hot tub. We only use them for filming purposes and not long-term usage.

Hello ...how loud is it when the jets are on
Does it have a separate bubbles and jet options or are they combined
Would it be safe to put this in a mudroom where there is no heat rather then outside in freezing tempatures? Also what kind of plug does it have is it a special one ? Or can u just put in in a regular outlet
Bought this having watched your review. Very pleased having just set it up. Thanks.
We're so glad to hear this! Enjoy your relaxation with your new tub!! 😊🌊
Can you use an extension cord on these? I hate how big the plug is
You're not really supposed to, so I'm not going to recommend it. But if you did make sure you use a 10 gauge or thicker.
In this video do you have it in the garage?
Or an out building?
I would like to put one in are garage for the winter months then outside for the summer..

Hey Eric! We had it in the garage! This works great and no condensation. I'd go for it.

Does the Saluspa Grenada include include the phone app to be able to control spa while away on vacation? Thank you!
It does not. Saluspa San Francisco does. amzn.to/3RKwI9W

That's a great question. No, it probably will not. That's probably one of the reasons they recommend not to keep them in freezing temperatures.
Do you have to add any chemicals to the spa and how often?

We’ll try to do that one soon. The next one we’re reviewing will be from RELXTIME, so be on the lookout.

Looks uncomfortable trying to sit up because there are no corners
Not sure what you mean by no corners, but we find this model very comfortable to sit in. 👍
