Once heated up. I am about £1 a day keeping it set to 38 and the circulation on. Scotland - Hawaii Lazy Spa - Sitting on decking, on astro, then on lazy spa foam mats & a layer of bubble thermal stuff. Initial fill up as well - used hot water from houses internal water tank.
In the US here and the 120v hookup is painfully slow for heating. 40 hours to go from 8C to 40C. Going to do the gas water heater method with ESPhome and a dallas sensor for regulating.
Initial heat up time and cost can be reduced massively by filling from kitchen mixer tap attached to hose set to about 40. Time taken. 2 hours 30 minutes which also includes filling it. That means after cleaning it out I can be in the tub in under 3 hours. When it's about half full I'll activate the pump but not the heat to mix the water. Cost £4.20. What a saving! Almost half. The tap to hose adaptor cost £10 which will pay for itself in 3 fill ups.

This is the most useful video i have found on hotntub costs in the UK. Thank you
Glad you found it useful!
Helpful information 👍👍👍
The ideal thing would be to keep it in a green house! Solar heat will pretty much mean during day it won't need to click on at all!
Hi, I think your calculations on filter running cost is wrong.... the filter pump uses 40w when running
Any ETA on controller stock? (6-pin)
Tbh, I have the newer version of pump/hottub so new version could be more efficient but 300w for filter seems mental if that is accurate
Hi Andy - do you know when you'll have hot tub manager units available again?
In approx 10days should have some more built and ready to order/ship
wow! here in bc it’s 10 cents per kWh
Sorry absolute money pit
