I’ve been lucky to have visited Iceland 🇮🇸 8 times over the years. Along with Norway 🇳🇴 it’s my favourite country to visit. I love watching vlogs especially when it’s someone’s first visit. It’s such a magical country of amazing landscapes. I’d definitely recommend on your next visit to travel the ring road. Time of year I would recommend May/early June as you get plenty of daylight hours. Only downside is no Northern lights. If that’s important, maybe mid/late September as you get a good mix of both.
Iceland is number 1 on our list to re-visit, it's so beautiful and I feel like we missed out on a lot by not finishing the ring road! Sounds like we also need to go to Norway!
Hello, If you don’t mind me asking, about how much was the trip aside from flight? (Accommodation, car rental, food, and anything else that would be beneficial) My husband and I are looking to go in the summer and doing as much research as possible and trying to figure out what type of itinerary to do for 5 days. Thanks!
Sure! It was about $4500, $2100 was hotels for 7 days. hotels in iceland were very expensive the time we went. $700 was the car, the rest was food/activities (blue lagoon, etc)
Hi Matt, I throughly enjoyed your video. I’m planning on visiting Iceland in October, the route that you guys went is somewhat the route I want to take. I’m a solo traveler on a budget and would like to know if the places you stayed at were reasonable? Appreciate any suggestions you could give me. Thanks.
Thanks so much! We stayed at a mixed of expensive and cheaper hotels. We have a budget breakdown on our Instagram but our average hotel cost was $258 a night. Definitely could go a little cheaper but Iceland is generally on the expensive side. Another common option is renting a sleeper van, there's tons of places to pull off and park. That's way more budget friendly. Here's the link to the Instagram short, I'll add it to the video description too instagram.com/p/CrbSyZUuAS6/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
We're going literally next week I'm really excited to see what Iceland has to offer. However, I am really worried about the accessibility of driving on the roads... lets hope for the best
We either used Go Car Rental or Blue Car Rental, I don't remember. Everything in Iceland was a little expensive unfortunately. The cars all usually need to be good in the snow, and need good gravel insurance as rocks get kicked up into the undercarriage. All these rental places have a big presence at the airport
@@tiffanyandmattexplore ty! We will go to iceland next year from May 30th to june 7th. It will be my first time in iceland. We will be driving the ring road. So go car rental and blue car rental are both safe? If you have any other tips for a cheap roadtrip in iceland, please let me know!
Did we miss any of the best parts of Iceland? Let us know for when we go back!
Such nice video, informative, with beautiful pictures.
You have great appreciation for nature, and its supreme art!
Thank you so much 😀
Fantastic very useful info. ❤

@@ssucl this time of year is very hit or miss! keep an eye on the weather, they keep it very up to date!
Such a fantastic video. We weren't thinking of renting a car but you've kinda convinced us otherwise. Again, great video!
Thanks so much! Renting a car is a must, and I never rent a car when traveling. Most of the magic of Iceland happens on the road trip part
Do you have tips for a trustfull car rental, but as cheap as possible? The best would be if we could pick it up at keflavik airport

Nice video, thanks. But you talk way too fast without any pausing.
