Its unfortunate TH-cam only shows the first three English accents in the description summary. Too many people who like to react without caring to watch the video or expand the description for a little more context. Those types of comments could be reduced in the future by placing a buffer of text in the top three lines of the description or something. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video! Very interesting. 😊
Ah Hah...I suspected this guy was extremely well educated and attended a top-notch English Uni. Besides be a fine actor and fun person, he also seems very nice.
His parents are actors too. my guess is that he grew up with foreign nannies around or that he started learning other languages very young. you can teach a child over three languages before a child is 3 years old. That way they don't have an accent.
Yes. I guess. Because the same happened to me: I was exposed to Hebrew, Dutch and English before I was three and have the gestures and accent that go with it. Thanks for enlightening me on that.
Im inspired. Truly. I've been in such a limbo of "What am i doing in my life", "I need to figure out what to do" , "How can i make money?". This. I want to learn language's. I havent felt this sort kf excitement since i was learning Italian back in Freshman HS. Im a college student at a Rackity community college studying General Sciences. I dont feel joy. I want to learn about culture and languages and travel around the world one day. Help people. Communicate with them. And yeah, maybe to impress. Haha
This sounds like a solid plan. Well done for figuring out what you like. Others need more time or they might never do. I am Greek, I speak English, I want to refresh my Spanish and learn Italian. We can do it ❤️
No wonder we love Freddie Highmore so much. He's a very intelligent and articulate young man in every sense of the word and speaks with his entire body.
I wanted so much to be a linguist when I was younger! He brings back that desire to study languages again. I wish I’d had the opportunity to study languages at Cambridge when I was younger. When I joined the Air Force, I wanted to be a linguist. There just weren’t any positions open or opportunities for it.
Hey Freddy. Just wanted to let you know I really admire your acting abilities and also you as a person. I first started paying attention to you when you played August Rush as a child. Very impressed. Stay healthy and safe and I wish you all the luck.
Freddie is an academic beast with perfect A* grades in every subject in high school (including Spanish and French), then achieved a double first Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Arabic from Cambridge University (effectively a 4.0 GPA) whilst filming the first two seasons of Bates Motel.
As a native Spanish speaker myself, Freddie's conversational Spanish is excellent! Having said that, his first movie I saw was 'Finding Neverland' so it's weird to hear him swearing in other roles! :D
I love languages, and speak 3 languages fluently, have an admiration for people who speak multiple languages!! Freddie is also an amazing actor!! :) Super talenteddd
I know you shouldn't idolize people but GOSHHH WHY HE ISN'T MORE FAMOUS??? HE IS PERFECT!! Great actor, humble and kind to others, really smart and super handsome. I'm officially a simp 😭💞💞
Gestures and expressions, through movement, are indicators of attention to the nuances of languages and communication. When one has mastered two or more, in addition to a native language, it becomes easier to appreciate these differences or similarities. Add in a sign language and it broadens those perspectives. I appreciate his attention to those details.
I’m multilingual and I change pitch, rhythm, facial expression and body language depending on the language I speak. I’ve had people pointing this out to me. From what I’ve observed, people who keep their native language’s accent do less of this.
For being French I can tell that he almost doesn't have any accent at all. That so amazing! I've heard that he wants to play in French movie he could be a French guy in a French movie. No problem.
I like the lad even more now. His body language matches each time he's speaking those lingos. I mean he's a natural. Hope and pray he gets more lead roles on all those. Seems down to earth guy. All the best mate!
Dude i live in Spain and my first language is Spanish, like, i hear the accent every day and it still sounds better when he's speaking, hELP LIKE THAT "JODER" JEEEEEEESUS BLOODY CHRIST-
Damn! Highmore, if you're hearing this, then your American accent makes me think you should voice Miles "Tails" Prower. In a similar manner to the voice of Astro Boy.
Que MERD∆ de português foi aquele? Porque não colocaram o português do Brasil? É muito melhor do que o português de Portugal 😒 A dublagem do Brasil é a melhor 😌 Agora Portugal eles estragam a dublagem do português do Brasil 😐
For speaking, Italian and Spanish are very close. Speaking multiple (disparate) languages is common around the Mediterranean, as well as central Europe. What is unusual is picking up a new language quickly.
I was just proud that I understood most of what he said. I learned the "euuuh" in conversation class in university so it doesn't seem remarkable to me. *attempts gallic shrug. fails, but amused self anyway*
Everyone in England knows how to do the french mannerisms because we sort of make fun of the accent a bit.. (in the same way that french people probably make fun of how english people speak).
I've enjoyed watching Freddie on The Good Doctor since the first episode and when he was speaking Spanish flawlessly on the last 2 episodes, it blew me away. I've noticed a lot of British actors speak different languages and they speak them very well, here in America we're too ignorant to learn a second language, its looked down upon which is just ridiculous. Being able to communicate with other folks in THEIR native tongue is a sign of total respect!
I don’t think people look down on learning another language in America, unless you are an immigrant and the second language you are learning is English. People don’t seem to realize that’s just as impressive, if not more than learning B level Spanish in high school.
@@sparkybish it is interesting to study adaptions to the immigrant experience, esp. in language acquisition and learning additional ones. First generation after immigrating often focus on the new local language habits and culture. Second generation often wish to preserve the heritage keystones of their grandparents' country or region of origin. I often see these while doing genealogy. Some generations or language cohorts may retain the structure of the former culture as identity longer than others. No one pattern is "better" than another, but all are fascinating.

Lots of love to Dr.murphy....from Kerala, 🇮🇳
He speaks 5 Languages:
1.English (British and American accent)
2.Arabic
3.French
4.Spanish
5.Portugese

He's so confident when he speaks other languages. Such a cool guy.
Confidence is key when learning a language
Eloquence and confidence are the keys to speak in different languages.
There's this movie called spiderwick Chronicles he stars in it

No scandals either. I think people in the US love the drama.
Apparently he stays away from social media
