Stumbled upon this channel and first thought after reading the question in title, YES! I think expectations when folks visit Africa are predominantly “Safari, Safari, Safari!” I live in Zimbabwe and our favourite vacation spots are on the Eastern Highlands of the country. Think hiking mountains, camping in ancient forests and chasing waterfalls (2nd highest in Africa is there too). We bumped into German hikers there once who echoed similar surprises. It’s pretty cool seeing you _really_ explore this part of the world because it truly is beautiful. Looking forward to more adventures!!
This has honestly been one of our favorite experiences in South Africa because it was so unexpected! We want to come back to explore more of it in the future.
