I was happy when I found out about this CAL; I was even more excited that you would do a tutorial on the pattern! Without you, I wouldn't be able to follow any patterns and I just wanted to thank you for this. You're amazing!
Hi Esther, I use to work from charted patters and haven't worked from a written pattern for ages. So your video tutorials are really a BIG help. Thank you so much for all the work you are putting in them and your instructions always being so precise and detailed.
Well, it’s March 2024 and I’m FINALLY getting around to making this 2020 CAL!! 🥳😅🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so much for this tutorial video! I really wouldn’t have been able to make this project without it!! 💖💕💖 Part 1 down, 5 more to go!
thank you so much dear ❤❤❤❤ I'm so happy I finished part one with you, sending you all my love and support from saudi arabia ❤😊now I will start part two 🎉
Esther, thank you so much for your very helpful and amazing videos. You have made this project so much easier! You are a wonderful teacher! I am looking forward to continuing the journey with you in Part 2! ❤️
Your Videos are so helpful, I would not be able to this project without your great videos. Thank you for all the time you invest. Would it be possible to give the right size of the project more often and not just at the end of every part? (For example: After round 8: 15 cm with Sw and 16 cm with CC) I am still a beginner and still have trouble with the consistency of my stitches. I would know earlier when I am off gauge and would not have to open up the whole part. Yes, I matched the gauge and watched your „golden loop“ video.
Thank you very much for the video explanation!! I am a complete "rookie" and very hard struggling with the stitches. Most of them I even do not know in German language neither in English. But I LOVE the finished blanket so I dared this adventure. Please - could you slow down a bit. The first video was amazing and I am following your fingers and the yarn step by step - wish I could watch it in slow motion :-) At the moment I am fighting with round 7 - but I won't give up !
Hi! I'm a rookie too. If you click the gear-shaped button at the bottom of the video, and click "playback speed," you can select "0.75," "0.5," or "0.25" and watch her in slow motion!
As Azorius mentioned, slowing the video playback speed can be a real frustration saver. I’ve been crocheting for many years, and this pattern has stitches that I’ve never seen before. I use US crochet terms normally, so I have to pay attention that I don’t get mixed up following the video. However, I’m so very grateful that Esther makes such lovely and clear video tutorials. Her tutorials are my favorite! Best wishes to all of the crochet “rookies” on this gorgeous blanket. ❤️
Thank you for the lovely instruction. :) As a suggestion, it would be helpful if you could add chapters to the video for each row so it is easy to find the section needed to aid the written pattern
Hi, thank you so much for the video it has helped me a lot. I am really behind, I just finished part 1 and my work is 38cm! No idea how - I used a 4mm hook and the stone washed yarn. My stitches are normal tension, not super loose. I am really worried I will run out of yarn. Can you please advise what I should do? I don't want to have to undo all my work...
Where is the written pattern for all of this Cal 2020 ? I have the yarn pack l need the written pattern . I am about to throw the hole pack in the garbage 😤. Two evenings l have looked in tips and hints and the Facebook in units but nothing l have found !!!!

@@jacquelinekirich2814 hello , l called the store l brought the pack from and the assistant helped me find the pattern ect . Very confusing set up of this project , with a strange way of publishing the written pattern. One would not think that a pattern would be under the heading Tips and Tricks . Thanks for replying to my question . Happy 2021 🤞
Ulrike Günther It looks like what Esther wrote on the screen are corrections. I haven’t had a chance to look at the written pattern yet, but I would follow the words on the screen rather than what she actually crocheted. If you have downloaded the written pattern, those are the directions to follow. Best wishes for your journey on making this beautiful blanket!❤️
Finally, I live in Australia so it’s nearly the 24th before I get any info so waiting waiting, however, I’m very happy it’s here and I can get on with round 6 etc etc, was unable to order a kit due to Covid restrictions so using my stash,,..we will see what we will see.l.l.l,anyone else making up their own colour way? Working out what colour to put where is the hardest for me.
I have a query about rnd 8. When the repeat across the tr is finished, why do we completely ignore the dtc before the crossed stitch? It just doesn't make sense to me that the dtc after the crossed st is used but the other one isn't.
Where is the colour chart for the Conchology Crafter ? . This tutorial is all very nice but my pack has different colour way and l have no idea with which colour to do each round !!! . I am very disappointed as to find what l am looking for is impossible and frustrating .

Hi I've only just ordered my kit so please do, I'm saving tutorials to a playlist. Just watching tutorials. We can catch up, says she scared stiff but its so stunning 😍
Barb W I have the same issue and for me I feel the hook size it too big. The work is not neat though I’m normally tight stitches person. I love the yarn but I think it’s not a suitable choice for the pattern as it’s too soft. I hope I’m wrong. I will continue though as I am working 2 blankets at the same time.
@@ameenacrafts2249 hello, I normally use a 4mm with DK! It is soft, I was quite surprised. I'm doing two as well! I just love the pattern. I'm doing Entomology and Mineralogy, you?
Barb W hi, the yarn is nice but for me I feel the style craft DK is a good choice for the project but as I’m in part 2 now I will go on as I love the pattern too. I’m making the herbarium in color crafter and the same like your color way in stonewashed and I’m in love with it .. I might make another one in free spirit one too, choosing my own yarn and color
@@Itsallinanutshell I continued with 4.5 instead of 5 and it looks good. Thank you for the videos and replies. Amazing pattern and it would not come to reality without you.. at least for me as I don’t read patterns . I also started me Rozetta..

i believe that might be an issue with either your internet connection not buffering the data or computer not processing it. i have no issues with the video, and i have not received any other comment that the video is not working. usually buffering issues are related to slow internet connections.

you can change the speed at which a video is played on youtube. you can play it at a lower speed if that helps.

Well done. It would help to name the colors nor just a number.
You can find all the color information in the tip and tricks document on scheepjes.com

yes, exactly

Thank you! Your video was a tremendous help. My square is 1 cm larger even with a 3.75 MM hook.
it means you work more loose than the designer. only risk is running out of yarn, but as such, for the overall look of the blanket it should be fine.

My pattern says to omit the last corner on 16 & 17 and to leave a long tail?
Never mind. 🤦🏻♀️

Thanks it's OK now was my Internet being silly. Thank you for a great video as always
Which colour is row number 13? I’m thinking it’s C1 but it’d just like to clarify if I could! 💕💕
On pattern it says c1
always use what the pattern says. the pattern is always in the lead.
Nice and clear tutorial, but is it supposed to curl at round 10???
Cuz mine does! Did I do it wrong?
please double check with the designer, i only did the videos
Thank you! Mine is done!
Great!
Where can we find the list of which color is “color1 “ “ color 2” etc?
I believe you already found the link above, right?

As helpful as the video is, I do wish there weren’t mistakes. It’s as if the video creator is not checking the pattern but doing it from memory.
if you don't like the video, use the written pattern.
