It can be a lot of work for sure during the hot spells but the joy it gives us makes it all worth it! We are actually getting a bit of a break here after a really hot and humid June and July.

Most people give pots without drainage way too little water because they’re worried about the roots sitting in it and rotting (which they will if they are not drained). You want to soak the roots good when watering most plants so they are saturated, then drain them to prevent root rot.
