    Great video. I like the slow-mo. Have you heard of the Sierra Blaster? I was thinking of getting one, you do t need a blasting certificate. Also, have you thought about using a shaker table?

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I saw them use it on one of the gold rush shows I believe. Would have to be handy for making small separations in wall rock underground I'd imagine! Particularly in a little mine like this, where the thin reef has been taken out and the wall rock needs to be taken out to allow the drive to continue in.
      Currently fixing up a shaker table for use with my crushing plant. It's just a bit lower on the priority list at the moment though, because I need to keep the gold flowing in. Should be a good payday when I get the shaker going and re run all of my tailings finally!

      And thank you for the positive feedback also Bjarne! I really appreciate it 😁

    The processing plant is coming along nicely. I read in another comment that the goal is to automate it, so the next goal will be the transfer of material from the jaw crusher to the chain mill and after that automate the feeding of the jaw crusher. One step at a time, one day at a time!
    Mark from Melbourne Australia

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Mark! Seen as the Jaw is so much faster than the rest of the plant I plan to still manually feed it. Then take the ore and put it into a hopper up above the plant. I plan for the hopper to hold about 500kg. It will then automatically feel the mill with a vibratory feeder. So I should only have to visit the plant every few hours to re fill the hopper if I'm doing a crush larger than half a tonne. She's all slowly falling into place mate. Thanks for coming along on the adventure

      @@TheGoldmansChannel I don't know that aiming to leave the plant running for several hours on it's own would be wise. I think that a more achievable goal would be to have it running while you are able to step back and do other tasks around the site would be the safer and more achievable goal at least at the start.

    • @markfryer9880

      @@TheGoldmansChannel I watched the jaw crusher video last night. I would have suggested that you make the machine at home and then break it down into sub-assemblies for transport and installation. That would have made things easier for your Milwaukee grinder, that's for sure! The crusher certainly gets through the material quickly enough.

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've toyed around with quite a bit of automation back in my sparky days. So it won't be too tricky for me to get the whole thing running on its own for a few hours at a time. The plan will also be to have a few cameras setup at the plant so I can remotely monitor from my phone and get alerts if there are any faults so I can remotely shut it down also. I can't imagine too much going wrong if I slow the feed down a little bit though. Usually any issues within the plant are just caused by me feeding it too quickly 😝

  • @UnhingedHarry
    @UnhingedHarry ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice setup. Is worth going back and getting heaps more ? You'd have to start moving some waste rock by the look of it.

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I'll cross this one off the list for now Harry. It would be a fun one to visit with people looking to learn a bit about hard rock mining. Close by and easy rock to get out, but just isn't viable money wise with a crushing plant the size of mine.

    Thanks for sharing, with the ball mill, the swingy arm thingy is in, how does the milled sample get out the exit?

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My pleasure Jeff. Once the gold and ore is ground fine enough it escapes out the other end with the water and goes straight onto the rotating screen. Material fine enough to fall through the screen gets sent straight to the sluice and material to big still goes back around to the ball mill pick up again.

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Rodney, it's not a good result for me no. I need over twice that to make money on the micro scale like I am. But it's certainly not a bad result in the scheme of things. If my plant was 3 times the size it would be doable!
