I own a 6 seater SUV and Im seriously considering this minivan. I dont need AWD, but i would really like this car as a plug in hybrid with at least a 40 mile range!
The Nissan Elgrand ( Japanese imports ) have been doing this exact thing for over 10 plus years . Same amount seats available, able to the same changes with the chairs , even turn some seats 360 degree / Reverse . Similar luxuries, and a lot less to buy one with low kms too .
Is the kia carnival sold in America the same as the kia carnival sold in Indonesia/Asia? because in Indonesia 11 passengers including the driver are not 8 passengers like in the video.
I own the 2022 Carnival SX model near Ann Arbor Michigan United States and the 2nd row outter seats do not turn around in the U.S. that's only the Asain market! Me and many other owners in groups I'm in as well as 3 dealerships I've been to about this all have not been able to do it on the United States version.
I have the 2022 SX I purchased last week, my 2nd row seating does not allow me to flip the seats around like this video. Is this feature not available on all the 8 seating models?
Only the Carnivals in Korea allows you to reverse the seats. If you look closely there's a black cap blocking you from being able to reverse your seating. I've been looking for a work around for it. So the feature are there but they just caped it off.
@@mflowtown it's true, I OWN a US EX model. The seats have a mechanism in place to prevent it from reversing it. Yes, it can be modified to do so but out of the 🇺🇸 factory, you cannot.
@@dlin5182 took 2 pairs of flat heads and 20 minutes, yes. You need to safely remove the black plastic molds that was put in place to prevent this seating arrangement. After doing so, the seats will click into place. Just take care of how the plastic casings are in place, they need to be lifted in a specific orientation and then twisted in its side to be lifted out.
We have 6 kids all with seats… we have the 8 Seat Pacifica. The big advantage with the Pacifica is that you can tilt the second row seat with an installed seat to access the third row. I think no other minivan has this.
@@danielmartins9901 To access the third row you can move/tilt the seat in the second row with an installed booster (Isofix) in all cars you have to kind of fold the seat which is not possible with an installed booster seat.
The carnival front grille is trying way too hard and I can't believe they didn't hide the sliding door tracks in the window. Overall the carnival is handsome but I like the sleek space shuttle shape of the odyssey better.
I only wish Kia had been smarter with thoughtful storage. The Sienna has a huge storage area underneath the center stack. The Carnival? Just a solid wall. The Carnival also lacks a sunglasses holder and any sort of parabolic mirror. And I am so confused why the door storage can't handle anything larger than a soda can, basically. These are little things, but they hold the Carnival back.
I just bought one and the seats do not lay down for storage, so I assumed they could be moved, and they do not. Can you tell me is this specific to a certain model.

While the middle seat may be able to be revered. The VAST majority of car seats can NOT be installed in a seat not facing forward. Please edit your video so people are not given dangerous advice.

Once had a 2007 sedona and it was a terrible experience. Electrical issues from the external lights - the most dangerous the doors would activate and slide open while driving! Called Kia in 2016 when it happened and they said they were only recalling 2008 models for that issue which had me outraged! I really really love this new style, and would give them a try again but the first thing my wife reminded me was how that call went......

'Glad to see the 2nd row seats can be easily removed (something the latest Toyota Sienna doesn't allow).
Unless you want a higher trim. Then they can't be removed just like the Sienna.

This comment needs more visibility. None of the 20+ review videos I've watched have shown this 2nd row seat flip feature. Only the removal.

Cool factor of an SUV look with a convenience of a MiniVan. Luggage space is smaller for sure.Still great trade offs!

We were told 2nd row rear facing seats weren’t legal in the U.S... can’t seem to find a model that can actually rotate the 2nd row seats.
US models have a mechanism in place to prevent reversing the seats.

If you put the carseat facing forward, then reverse the seats to face backward, that is essentially a rear-facing seat.
