Mudman is excellent in any version mainly due to nothing getting in the cracks between the buttons and screen. another good one is from the 5500 series, same protection. Good luck with your decision.

I once had i under the sun to charge for too long and the whole screen goes black cos the liquid was boiling LOL.
I was thinking about buying this watch , until I saw this video. I own the Casio GW-M850 model # 3155. They are basically the same watch,they both have the same features , in the same order. The only difference is mine is not mud resistant. I bought mine for about $75.00 on ebay.
mudman watches are the strongest out there rigt now. got two of them, GW-9010-1 and the GW-9000A. big watch but feels small, thats whats good about it!
@labalbi I have a GW-M5600-1ER and the automatic time-synching facility can be switched on or off so I'm sure this Mudman will be the same. Hopefully the watch will be synched when you receive it (you may need to buy it mail order from the USA and ask the seller to make sure it is synched and then switched to manual before they ship it.) Hopefully the 'G' will stay.
@lemm05 That is why the Teams wear 'em! Thinking about getting the GWM850-1! It has a pretty low profile compared to many other Gs so it can fit under cuffs unlike the "Rescue" serie.

Now, I want to enjoy those watches and switch them around, so I would need to buy a few distinctive G-Shocks to have at hand. Which, for example 4 or 5 different types of G-Shocks would you recommend? For example if the categories are Retro, Chunky, Military type, analog and function laden.

Negative displays are definitely not as easy to read as regular displays, I wouldnt get one as a daily wearer as they are more difficult to read at night. Unfortunately I dont own the watch you mentioned, I review em as I get em ;)
as i sd this mud man is my frst so cant really help u much in terms of size but i felt it ws small....but otherwise its just gr8 in terms of its price,sync mode(time),timers,auto light's...and ofcourse the watch being from G-Shock casio...guraanteed Tough!!
Hey I found this watch for sale on Amazon.com but the retailer was Shopemco I paid under $200.00 and Was shipped on a monday arrived the next day lol and thats not with the faster shipping. It is around the same specs as the Riseman, if you like the fit of one, you will have no problem with the fit of the other.
The white on black (Negative Display) could be a bit hard to read at night. Good for outdoors in daylight.

I bought the older mudman yesterday I didn't know they had a solar version of it.
9300 for the win! Back big and chunky like a real mudman! And it suits a smaller wrist too which is just awesome for me! Ha. Nice review though!

when you get the watch it is in power save mode. just push any button and it pops on.

I find the Casio brand to be superior to the Timex brand....just personal preference though.
