On the plus side, all of this uncontrolled sliding into walls left and right makes me feel so completely in control when I get in a real car and drive real places. And after hours of it, I can literally drift off to sleep. Lol.
It took me a few weeks to get good, I’ve been drifting in TH2 for almost 2 years now and very happy with it. A track i recommend is mazda laguna seca raceway on the west coast in between LA and San Francisco in free roam. (Best for practice) drifting gets fun if you pursue it! PS: use boost to to stop you from going in the dirt
The tip on messing with the drift assist is actually very helpful! I thought leaving that on max would help drifting a bit easier but turns out if I lower that, the car handles much nicer. Great video, thank you!
TCS- 1/4 of the way (2 clicks right after being all the way to left) ABS- Full ESP middle or a little below middle Drift slide Assist- all the way to left then 1 click to the right. Each car handles different but this is my setup for my Skyline R34
Slide Help varies between what car you are driving. I drive the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, so my Slide Help bar is best at half way to a peg more than half way. Can get 100k score easy in less than half the time on most runs.
Use a slower car Drift is not really speed it's a lot more than that. I use a shelby gt 500 (max speed 280km/h) and mabye top out at 140km/h in these races and got up to 695k points
I just want to say thank you I watched this tutorial like a month ago so when I started I had a stuck Nissan skyline I played for like an hour before I finally finished it and got 2 new parts then I spent 30 more min and decided to go find some live reward boxes out in the wild for a few hours and when I came back it went much better so I spent at least 2 hours a day for 3 weeks on now I’m almost as good as my friends who we call the drift god because he always get up to 600k points every time he plays I even managed to beat one of his records then he lost he’s mind and saved to my how can you beat my record in that shit car he has always to me to get a new drifting car because to him every car that isn’t a Lambo Ferrari is a shit car but my Nissan is good enough for me if you wonder how long it took me to get this good 5 days 3 hours and 27 min in in game time in my stats so thank you again

If you want a professional advice on turning,forza tuning goes a long way, clicks from left to right 1 thru 10 I'll give you a good setup. Tcd,1 out 10 abs,3 to 7,esp and slide help 1,off lol. Front tires 6 rear tires 8, 10 arrow dis, brake power, 2 to 4, brakes can be balanced based on if your a angle drifter vs a speed drifter, front spring 8,front spring reb 4,rear spring 2,rear spring reb 6, front camber at either 2 for angles or 1 for speed,rear camber at either 1 for angle and 2 speed,arb front 10 arb rear 1, this setup will help you get between 100k and 500k if you chain a 65x for 130 sec
For people who have the srt viper gts drift car go on to pro settings on put tire grip front and tire grib back to the lowest possible it will make it less drifty but it will only make it less drifty when you are going in a straight line if you try to drift it will hold longer
Keeping your drift alive by pure yardage doesnt seem to matter a ton which is strange, just keeping the combo alive by constantly turning either way in to a mini drift back and forth and extending the drift periodically around some easier corners. I consistently get over 200k on that map just doing that with the barebones stock rx

The last time I've played a car racing story-game was when Need for Speed Underground 2 was new. The handling is so different now! The handling of the cars, boats and even hovercrafts exspecially, feels so smooth(er) but drifting is something I just can't get into. My problem is that the rear of the car always shears off. I cant hold it. If I try to push against, the car starts spinning in a circle. All these settings are neat but I am kind of overwhelmed by them. First Drift race "earn 10.000 points" heck. .. how? I got nearly 4.000 in 3 minutes ^^
Personally my practice with drifting was in the 1970 camero rs rally raid edition out on the dirt trails in the Grand Canyon, got the basics down there
I drive with the Mazda rx7 and I have my rear geom camber on minus 1 and it tights the wheels so when you do quick sharp left and right turns. It's easy to do good drifts with tight rear wheels. But keep your front wheels loose

Nah, used these settings and expterimented with my own settings on my drift car and it still does nothing but endlessly slide into walls to ruin the event and not get me any points. Waste of time to focus on drifting in this game, it is worse than drift events on speedlists in ANY nfs game.

For decades I would buy highly anticipated games the very day they came out. But I stopped doing that when they stopped selling discs that actually had games on them. Now I just finish to my satisfaction and move on to the next, which is usually something that was released more than a year ago. So yeah, I 'still play this'. And I will keep playing it until I know how to get from city to city- or at least from coast to coast- without referring to a map. Knowing the map is one of the joys of open world gaming. Although I am glad they stopped making a goal of driving down literally every inch of street. Trying to find that last tiny strip of connective alley was pretty damn annoying.
Just use parts that give you more multiplier even if they are week . Thank this you could do 300k points on low car lvl . My friend has drift car with something around 150 car lvl and 480k points . And also remeber to upgrade drift skills in that perks tree.
It took me about 7 hours to get my 370Z to maximum and learn to drift but now after about 20 hours of drifting in The Crew 2 I can grind on Terminal D around 350,000 pts 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

There's too many straights to keep the drift going, I'm finding myself purposely throwing it in the opposite direction during a straight to just keep up a drift and having to e brake it back into the corner and I end up loosing too much speed most of the time....I'll go from 3rd to 2nd during the turn after the e brake and the car just like bogs down n shit....some of the tracks are perfect but like the one where your on the street in the city is pretty tough, also when a track switches terrain from say road to sidewalk or dirt or gravel the car hops over ledge or whatever n it almost always fs me up 🥴 practice practice practice

Drift cars don't need to be upgraded, you only need good perf parts, purple ones a good, golden ones are perfect, blue ones are not great, green ones... You shouldn't even think about using those, you can boost gold and purple perf parts to the maximum, green ones and blue ones are trash, but if you have a purple one and golden one, use those, ignore that big number, you don't need speed, you need multipliers, you can also reset your icon points and use them to boost your drift points and drift maximum multiplier as well as multiplier speed, on the video I see him upgrading everything but using green parts, not good, even if you have a green part that is 208, I would use a purple that's only 170, it's not about speed, it's about getting those speed multiplier and max combo multiplier higher and higher. For drifting itself, manual gearbox, throttle control, mostly drift in 3rd gear sometimes switch to 4th, keep practicing, the most throttle control, the better you'll drift. I am Icon 900, drift is my favorite part about racing games, I am at the top 500 players in every drift event.
If you really want to do more than great, try getting only gold parts, and use them, don't upgrade until you get a new gold part with a higher perf level

For example my mitsubishi evo x has every perf part gold, all of them level 240, (level doesn't mean anything as I said, only makes you faster, but the faster you are the faster you grind your combo, but it's not worth it if your max combo is 50) my maximum combo multiplier is 170, on a good day I can pull a crazy amount of points like 600k to 730k, depending on the map and how well I'm controlling my throttle during that day

yea i noticed that as well, drifting is so much easier in this game since you barely have to counter steer it is mostly just throttle control(which is a skill of itself).. But yea it's hard to spin out in this game compared to forza
