15:03 Forgot to draw the 2 cards after shuffling
16:03 When you use a Relic you have to do a Sanity check, that Richard forgot to do here
19:35 Forgot that when the Magician goes insane he also can only perform a total of 3 actions, so he wouldn't have been able to give all the cards to Jen because he didn't have enough actions to do it
20:17 By recovering the Sanity here he would go to 4 actions again so he would be able to give all cards to Jen
Picked this up for the family for Christmas. In ~ 48 hours, we've played it 4 times and are 2 for 4 on wins. This has very quickly become my family's favorite game. We love the cooperative concept of the gameplay itself and the atmospheric's of the game are amazing. There is a definite learning curve, but after 2 playthroughs we pretty much had the hang of the system itself. Every time we turn over a player deck card or a summoning card there is a palpable tension in the room as if the Ancient one himself were going to materialize into existence right then and there. We really get into this game, we can sense the Shoggoths breath in the dimension just beyond ours, slipping almost effortlessly through a slight tear in the dimensional fabric heralding the demon's imminent arrival into the room to drive us all insane with it's very presence. It is very challenging and we haven't even played the "Standard" or "Expert" game modes yet. We found some great atmospheric music to play in the background which also adds to the overall mood. Would really love it if they put out a deluxe set maybe with pre painted pewter figurines etc. Hoping to Cthulu himself that they build on this with expansions, add ons and what have you. Really want to grow this game universe. HIGHLY Recommend this if you are looking for a cooperative game in the horror genre!!!!

What a dope game I saw it at barns and Noble today really caught my attention
Regarding the note added at 20:17: When someone recovers their sanity, they get one bonus action, so the Magician had 1 action to perform.
Richard had already performed an extra action by giving Jen the second location card, so he couldn't have performed another action anyway. Just a minor adjustment to the note to prevent confusion.
that note is a supplement to the previous note that said he only had 3 actions because he was insane and so he couldn't have given the final card to jen then...
When he recovers the sanity he gets the 4 action back and that means he would be able to give her the card if he hadn't given it before breaking the rules
Gotcha. I read it as if you were saying he could have performed one more action, even though the previous note mentioned he had performed an extra one. Nevermind then :)

actually since going crazy cost the magicin an action it could be argued that the extra action was giving jen both cards after he healed himself

well i'm sure if you contact the publisher via their website, they'll send out a replacement. but in the meantime, it's no big deal... either the game is a tiny tiny big harder (inconsequential, really) or just use a cube to stand in for #26 if you're that close to losing.

I think there’s a second error. When you go insane you lose one action point (pg 9 of the rule book, “if a player had any actions left when they become insane, reduce that number by 1”). So you could only have handed Jen one green clue card - not two. Correct me if I’m wrong. Great video though.

Do you think this is a start of series of rethemings of a set of mechanics like Love Letter? Thunderbirds is also basically a theming and readjustment of mechanics as well.
yes, they are planning on doing exactly that. the next one, pandemic: iberia has already been annouced :)
I kind of have mixed feelings. I'm a huge Pandemic fan, I like the mechanics, and I love coop games, but I also really like to see "new stuff" (Like In the Name of Odin, which I think has a really interesting combination of mechanics).
You should check out the newest Augmented Reality Reign of Cthulhu game on Kickstarter! It’s incredible!

yup, the goof was noted via annotations and shownotes (and mentioned in final thoughts too) :)
20:04 it says on the card that no sanity roll is required to play this card. Doesnt that mean that you wouldnt have gone insane since no roll was required?
I don't understand this question... he did go insane in the previous play, before playing that card... Then he played that card without rolling for a Sanity check, so I think you weren't paying attention to the video at this point and got confused

if you love the mythos, i'd say they're definitely different enough to own both. RoC plays in a fraction of the time and is much more puzzley in nature

Question: He used relic (song) 2 times 13:25 and 20:15. Why? shouldn't it be discarded after 1 use?
He didn't use that card at 13:25 he only showed the card and said what it did to inform the viewers of why he distributed the insanity the way he did
Please answer; does this game have allot of replayability? My group loves playing arkham horror because every game is so different. Im kind of burned out by playing long hours of sessions and thought of picking this up for us.
i think it's very replayable, but it might not be the sort of replayability you're looking for, if you're all about the narrative event cards and all off that. basically, every time, the story is the same, but it's a puzzle that requires a set of unique decisions to succeed

At 16:05 after you played the relic, shouldn't you have still drawn two location cards. I think you skipped the rest of Jen's turn.

I still don't get how to play this damn game lmao
My kid and I did our first playthrough last week. I watched this vid carefully then broke it out, using the included rule book as we played. We made a few mistakes. There are a lot of rules and directions to this, which makes more challenging but also means each session will be unique. We weren't stressing too much over it or worrying if we played it perfectly; we just did our best and had fun with it.
We are definitely playing it again. With time it'll become easier, I'm sure.

just not a fan of Pandamic in general that's all I guess and the new theme doesn't change anything :) I'm aware lots of people love this game so you shall all enjoy ;)
I don't like Pandemic much but I like this a lot.
Skippin this one. Played pandemic twice and beat it fairly easily both times. Cthulu doesn't make it worth it for me
Mario Sickenberger if you easily beat pandemic the first 2 times you played it you either got really lucky or you played something wrong.
Ya I've never played it personally but seeing others play it I have seen wins but it's basically last second.
Game fucking sucks dont buy it
