    The fact that you can use tool names not just numbers to call tools as well as have them stay in the crib (along with the length data) when not in the machine is also really handy when doing one-offs. As long as you use tool tags or similar to track the tools outside of the machine you can run programs without having to unload/load tools from the magazine before hand, especially useful if you have a fairly small tool changer.

    I love machining technology in general but the thing I DON"T love about it is that, now sooner than you drop your wads of cash for the latest and the greatest new technology, then it instantly becomes antiquated because the next latest and greatest thing comes out as soon as you uncrate your freshly delivered products.

      I disagree. We've been extremely profitable with 40 year old machines. Firmware updates and knowing how to maintain them helps.

      Lol there are machines from the early 2000s still rolling out parts today and relatively competitively. And at the end of the day a haas vf2 from the early 2000s if you have the space is a better machine. Other then 2k less rpm and slower Rapids your more hp more torque more rigidity 40 taper and all for 20k or less most times.

      Agreed to all this. New machines are great but the best machine is the one that makes a good profit and is already paid for.

    Hello 🙂 Under the latest video (which may be interesting for both users and future buyers due to the opportunity to see how these machines are built) one of the viewers asked a question that I cannot answer because there is no such information on the seller's website "With what accuracy do these machines work??" Maybe someone has such information or will answer based on the parts they make themselves on the SYIL machine?
    On FB I have already received 2 pieces of information about X7. Maybe you can say something about X9, it has much better guides and is more massive but I don't know what it can do

      There are so many variables to machine accuracy that it's often useless to give a spec on "accuracy." Are you looking for part accuracy/accuracy under load, for repeatability, for absolute positioning?
      With all that said, I've seen people claim these machines can hold ±0.0002 repeatability, but when it comes to making parts there are just so many variables

    So are you no longer going to offer syil machines with the LNC or Syntech control and exclusively sell machines with the seimens control?

    • @mrechbreger
      @mrechbreger 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      there must have been some untold reason behind that. The distributor usually carries full liability for those machines when the machines come from outside the United States. It is not only import and ship, it is import, ship and support - technically support it. I doubt that anyone at Syil is able to speak english like an american, they might be good but definitely not like a local american. Chinglish doesn't come from nowhere... Siemens might just be easier to support for them.

    Sounds impressive but Monel K-500 is only 28-40 HRC so with good endmills really easy to cut. Still a neat machine though and it's good to see the prices coming down so that American manufacturers can compete with offshore. Either small shops with one or two machines or large shops that can put in 10 spindles for the price of 1 and really crank out parts like the Chinese do in their big sweat shops.

      I've always heard the opposite. They seem to be more accurate than a Haas. I know someone who got an X9 delivered recently where the spindle was square to the table under a tenth across a 16" circle.

    • @SimonPEdwards63
      @SimonPEdwards63 8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @qdp03 it's not static accuracy that is at issue it's dynamic. One person mentioned their one year old machine could not hold 0.1mm
      Of course, that is all second-hand chatter.

      Just like how most are commenting on a Chinese made cell phone….
      most customers are young machinists who are only able to open their own shops… to make American made products because of this high level… very affordable considering CNC Machine.
      It’s assembled in China with mostly German, Japanese and Swiss parts.
      We also sell a ton of others products and have done more for American manufacturing than almost everyone on the planet. Currently teach 500,000 students machining for free.
