      It is an inescapable reality that believers sin!
      The remedy for sin- confession and cleansing by the blood of Jesus Christ- is God's irrevocable gift to believers!

      I totally agree thats a season in Christianity but through understanding and revelation we really need to have our hearts cleaned from an evil conscience meaning no more sin conscience, in fact there is no rest until you reach that point..Hebrews for he that has entered God rest, he has ceased from his own works as God did his.. but let me tell ya rest is sweeter than you can even dream of it being..when you mess up and you actually Glorify God and the blood of Jesus when you just move on don't spend even another second allowing the devil to accuse you.. romans for who can bring a charge against God's elect it is God who justifies!! Who is he then who Condemns, it Christ that died and yet is Risen again to life.. if you've repented, your sin isn't any of the devils business..

    Wow!!! That is exactly what I have been saying for years to my friends and family about my own Christian faith journey. When I was younger I would sin and not even think about it or the consequences, now when I sin I am made aware of it almost instantly by the Holy Spirit. That is why I know I belong to Jesus; because my life and soul are His and they need to be purged by His sacrifice. Thank you Lord.

  • @fazole

    The Holy Spirit has done so much for me! I have continually repented then returned to sin over DECADES, as the dog returns to vomit, the Bible says. But the Lord pursued me EVERY time. My shame and unworthiness, though, kept me apart from Jesus, I felt like I was not doing enough and would give up. This time it's different. I told the Holy Spirit, "I am incapable of change, CHANGE ME, Holy Spirit, in Jesus name", and HE has!
    I believe God truly is pouring out His Spirit in these last days. The gospel will be preached throughout the world, then the End will come, Revelation 9.
    I pray for Saul to Paul conversions, Lord Jesus, big ones in your Holy name! Amen.

      No, not exactly, if what he said was true, then there would be no need of instruction from the Bible, on how one is supposed to live. The bible even says, that there is pleasure in sin for a short season. Let's face it, if there wasn't we wouldn't sin.

    That’s so true Pastor, I now understand the apostle Paul when he said:
    “For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the working out of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one working it out, but sin which dwells in me.”

      But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

    Recently I was struggling as I’d let my focus off of God for several months and began to drift back into old habits and thoughts, and I began to renew my efforts to grow closer to Him again. After several days of struggling with my guilt I broke down and poured my heart out in a very long and honest prayer about literally everything I’ve been struggling with and feeling guilty about, repenting as deeply and truthfully as I could. I opened my Bible afterwards to a page I had an old bookmark in, I’d actually read that chapter the night before but I was so tired I didn’t really absorb it and couldn’t remember if I’d read it, so I started it over and it was 2 Corinthians chapter 7, describing how I’d been feeling exactly. I started crying immediately, I’d expected silence from God due to my own distance, like I’d have to take extra time to make up for the time I’d wasted to hear Him like I had been, but He literally spoke to me in comfort the moment I ended my prayer and opened the pages of my Bible.

      Let me warn you what will happen so it won't take you by surprise. You are going to mess up again. It may or may not be with one of your previous addictions. It may be something else entirely and you will feel so ashamed of messing up that you will even start to doubt your salvation. Are you really even saved? The answer is yes and don't let yourself get overwhelmed with guilt. It feels weird living under the peace of grace while also dealing with the guilt of sin from your flesh. It's supposed to and the shedding off of our sinful flesh is part of what we look forward to in going to heaven. But I wish someone had told me about all this when I first got saved. Don't get discouraged. Even Paul, after believing in Jesus, struggled with sin and called himself a wretched man in one of his Epistles. Don't let the devil or anyone else or yourself bring you down because you messed up. Hold your head up high, repent, and move forward in Christ. He loves you and he's moving through life with you to help you when you stumble. Sanctification is a life long process that only comes to fruition when we're resurrected. Don't forget that! Be encouraged!

      Sounds like you're sinning and then asking for Mercy and forgiveness. If one truly doesn't want to sin than they should ask for God's Grace to overcome and then it will be supernatural we can't do it in the flesh. So it all boils down to do we actually want to stop sinning or not. Time will tell

    Watching this short clip just led me to tears, prayer, and revelation, all in less than a minute.
    I felt so grateful yet still so sad over my sin and said, "God, thank you for having mercy on me. Thank you for being merciful and so GOOD and so just." But then, I became confused.
    He's just, right? But because of my continuous sin, I feel like he's not exactly punishing me the way I guess I expected or think I deserve, so there's the mercy. So I thought to myself, is He more merciful than just? I asked Him, which is it? And I immediately thought no, that's not the right question. He's the same across the board. So I finally asked Him, "How can you be just and still not..."
    Before I even finished sobbing my question, it was like a current of revelation and pain and joy and relief shot through my body as the Holy Spirit both whispered and shouted, "Because Jesus."
    I get it now. Thank you SO much for this, Pastor. It was just what I needed and right on time ❤

      A Christian is not determined by an experience or feeling. A person becomes a Christian when they believe Jesus died, shed His blood, was buried, and rose from the dead. And only when they put their trust (to rely on) in that gospel of the grace of God, for the forgiveness of their sins, that Jesus gave to Paul for us to be saved by, does one become saved.

    Yes. With a real conversion everything changes. How you see sin, how you see and care about other people. A fake Christian claims to believe but everything stays the same. No reaction to sin, no increased compassion.

      NOT TRUE.

      @@Believe_the_Bible exactly! This whole comment section is full of people conflating salvation with sanctification. Two different, yet connected things. Not every new believer is instantly zapped into a khaki and polo shirt wearing minivan driving Jesus bumper sticker church goer 🤣 it takes years for some of us to achieve that level of sanctification 😉 come as you are y’all, Jesus loves you. This is not completely accurate. It is entirely possible to be a Christian and to not even realize you’ve sinned. Or to completely misunderstand how or why something is a sin and not be instantly sorry. It may take time for the Holy Spirit to illuminate this for you. Does not mean you’re not saved. Every believer is in a different stage of sanctification.

      I think the key principle here is that a Christian mourns “known sin”. Sure, there are Christians who sin and don’t even realize it. Every Christian sins in that way from one degree to another, but a Christian who joyfully and eagerly commits known sin, should really consider whether or not they belong to Christ.

    • @wojak91
      @wojak91 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @nunyabidnes5253 what does "joyfully and eagerly" mean? Aren't you totally choosing sin everytime you commit it? Giving yourself over to it? I struggle when we add these words that Scripture does not.
      I struggle with scrupulosity. I'm too keenly aware of how sinful I am and how far I fall short of God's holy standard. And yet I still struggle with lust, anxiety, and other indwelling sin daily. I'm well aware that I don't even hate my own sin as much as I should, and that grieves me. Sometimes romans 7 is the greatest comfort.
      When am I "truly a christian"?

    • @dylanhensch7687
      @dylanhensch7687 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      He's talking about wilful, knowledgeable sin. Eg you know it's wrong but you do it anyway whether it's premeditated through temptation or spontaneous like an outburst of anger. If there is consistently no conviction post sinning of that kind of obvious sin one can have no assurance of new birth/indwelling of the Spirit/salvation. Obviously for new believers and more subtle sins sanctification is progressive. Jeff is talking about those that spend years in a church or profession of faith and have no conviction of or sorrow for obvious sin.

    I finally reached the point not long ago and then even more recently I have so far defeated my sin because I am tired of being held down and feeling horrible for it so I said I KNOW you have the power to make me stop and through the power of the Holy Spirit I can quit anything and do anything and when you say it with trust and confidence guess what he responds! He is Holy and he is greater than anything, and yes we DO NOT deserve him but when you talk to him be real with him like you would with anyone else. Try it. Have confidence in his power and have trust in his power. God Bless!
