Podcast Erratum: We have been informed, by the PEW Science member who loaned us the Velos, that it does not, in fact, also come with the direct thread mount. They had included both mounts in the box in case we wanted to test it with both. We chose the direct thread mount for testing based on the logic of having used the same type of mount with the Saker 556 previously, along with some gas dynamics factors, as discussed on the podcast. Sorry folks - didn't realize the direct thread mount was not included!
I've got a Velos LBP sitting in jail which will eventually go to live on a Steyr AUG A3. The decision was made that since it is a low back pressure silencer I "hopefully" wont need to utilize the special gas plug in supressor mode and that the normal gas setting will be fine. I also live in Utah so it's nice to support the local silencer company. Anyways, what a great resource you have helped create, I've been learning a lot on how silencers work just from Pew Science alone. Keep up the good work!
First of all - congrats on the silencer! I think you are right, in that it will work on a variety of weapon systems without a lot of adjustment being needed. Thanks for the kind words - and it's great to hear it is helping! :)
an interesting potential future test would be to take a flow through can such as the velos and a conventional can like the aero lahar 30, and compare the cans performance using direct thread, a muzzle brake, and a 3 prong flash hider
Have the 762 velos in jail for my ddm5 v3, i passed on the flow 762 ti for it. ODB in inconnel was too heavy and their ti low rate rating for rate of fire was a turn off.
I don't think the SilencerCo recall was for the Velos LBP we recently tested. The KAC recall directly affected the test specimens we have in inventory.
I’m more interested in the MK18 & M4A1 over the knights. Makes more since due to how many of those 2 options are floating around out in the wild. Love the podcast!!!
I swear to Jesus Christ and 3 other white men that if this guy dosent review the full size kac 556 prg im going to come back here and start letting people know how I really feel

If you can pull off the full KAC evaluation that would be incredible
Thanks for your interest in the research!

That could be cool
Would love to see the results of the of the knights testing!
Thanks for your interest, sir, and stay tuned!
I’d send you my RC3 if it was out of jail. I would LOVE to get a comparison between it and the PRTs.
stay tuned :)
@@TheJaySituationthanks Jay, love you
Does anyone actually use the mounts that they come with?
Surefire suppressors do not come with a mount
Any plans on doing the Velos K or the 30cal?
We will probably get to that, yes sir. However, I don't have an ETA
Thank you.

You mentioned the kac recall but I don’t remember you mentioning the SilencerCo recall?
