I like the other techniques you demo'd for casting. I am a kayak fisherman too, and I usually use a lot of room to cast bc I swing from my right side, but I saw you casting from just over your right shoulder, very nice. I'll need to practice that for sure! Also, liked that one technique of you holding on to the lure/rubber worm. I want to try that one too. New subscriber too!
welcome! I've been fishing out of a kayak for several years now and have pretty much adapted my casting techniques to work well sitting down. Just takes time.
I’m the same Gramps. On putting my handle on the right on spinning. What kind of trailer do you have for your yak? I’m tired of heaving mine up on the bed extender. Greetings from Missouri
I've been through a couple of trailers, but currently running an actual heavy duty kayak trailer from FTK Trailers as I've had issues with light weight trailers carrying fully rigged kayaks.
Gramps what lures would you use the heavy version of the bait caster for
Jigs, punching creature baits, frogs
@@FishinwithGRAMPS thank you 🙏
Hey Gramps what rod length was the spinning combo?
This one was a 7'0" Medium Fast action rod, which i like for tubes, wacky rigs. They also make in a 6'9" Medium Lite good for Ned/Neko Rigs
Sweet thank you, i actually ordered the 6'9 last night
Just bought this as my first bait caster today online can’t wait for it to come in
sweet!
Nice tip on pitching 👍🏻🙂. Good job on the editing as well, you are getting better Gramps 🍻😎✌️
Just ordered my Crush !! Thanks!
Did it come yet ?
Great review gramps!Love the lews reels 🔥
Great review! Love lews!

Hey gramps, I have that spinning combo. Use it for finesse & it hasn’t let me down. Thanks for reviewing 👊
those combos look sweet!
Just bought one thanks for the discount man
Glad to help!

Man that's one nice color 👌
I really like my crush… and want the spinning one as well… then if could convince hubby to get the matching yak ;). Nice review thanks Gramps!
Color coordinated! Old Town, MONSTERBASS and CRUSH!
I’m interested in both these combo’s. Thanks for the video and take care.
Loved them both!
I just saw both of these combos at Dicks Sporting Goods, I’m going back for both this upcoming weekend in both orange and green
Is it an Hex handle or a screw in handle(like Daiwa Fuego as example) for the spinning reel
I don't even remember, I have that one away during a New Year's giveaway
Just purchased the Mach crush baitcaster combo using your code. Can’t wait to get it.
Excellent!
Wonder if they did make it orange or name it crush after Orange Crush pop ( or soda depending on where your from lol)
heh, someone at Lew's probably has a good story behind it.
What’s the combo setup for the spinning reel rn I have 20lb braid on it
I just had straight 8# flouro on this one
Can you put a bait clicker on this reel?
I couldn't tell you, think I've only seen them on catfish rods and these would def not be good for catfish
Beginner fisher here without a ton of experience. I'm looking for a good inshore saltwater casting rod. Would this be something good for that?
Sorry, way out of my lane.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS No worries. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
look at diawa bg for a reel. But the Penn spinfisher series is a good place to start
