      Seoul to busan and vice versa only takes 4 hours by bus, so i suppose it's around the same duration on a private car. I srsly dont know how going to seoul (from busan) could take 11 hours. Maybe the person did a lot of detours.

      Yeah usually on seolnal(lunar new years) and chuseok there are a lot of people moving and driving all going to either their hometown or visit families so highway can turn into parking lot. With decent traffic from seoul to busan it should be around 4-5 hours

      In this video, RideScapes use E17 - E400 - E1 - E30 - E301 - E1 - E16 - E65, via Dongtan, Cheonan, Cheongju, Sangju, Yeongcheon, and Ulsan. Daejeon and Daegu on E1 are bigger metropolitan cities than these cities, however, E30 - E301 route is selected for a bypass, avoiding traffic congestions with less curved designs.
      Also due to starting and finishing point, RideScapes selected some diverging routes in Seoul and Busan instead of the trunk route.
      There are number of routes for Seoul to Busan, and an optimal route depends on where you start and finish your travel.
      E17 starts from southwestern Seoul and merges into E400 to connect E1 for southeast peninsula -- i.e. Busan. E30 - E301 is one of options for bypassing the old-fashioned route - E1. E1 ends at northern Busan. If eastern Busan is the destination, instead of going through the city, E16 - E65 route can be used for.
      So basically it means that the route used by RideScapes is the optimal route for southwestern Seoul to eastern Busan.
      There can be other examples like eastern Seoul to western (central) Busan: E100 - E35/E37 - E50 - E45 - E1 - E55, or southern Seoul to northern Busan: entire E1.

      That is prevents drowsy driving.
      The voice repeats 'Drive safely'
      If listening the radio when passing through the tunnel, can hear the voice in the car.
      But there were cases drivers couldn't yield fire trucks and ambulances because they mistook it as the sound heard in tunnels.
      So Recently, the sound has been changing to rainbow LED

    Hi, very nice driving video, the first I am seeing from South Korea, makes me wann take a plane and visit this beautiful country asap. I noticed you did't drive on Expressway 1 for most of the time, between Seoul and Busan. Is it more congested or you just wanted to explore some other areas? Greetings from Germany, subbed and I am waiting for more.

    • @ridescapes
      @ridescapes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello and thanks! I didn't take express way 1 all the way to Busan because new route was shorter and faster 😎

    • @GC-jx1eq
      @GC-jx1eq หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a bit similar to choosing between A 3 and A 45 when you travel from Rhein-Ruhr to southern Germany. If you are close to Sieg area or D/DU, A 3 would be better, but to Dortmund and Westfalen, then A 45 would be better.
      The route he took was a less congestive alternative as well as accessible route from western Seoul. Expressway 1 starts (technically ends) at southern Seoul and is directly connected with central Seoul and many southern Gyeonggi cities, making it really congestive (usually more than 200,000 cars per daily). There are couple more alternative routes for other areas in Seoul -- E15 or E17 routes for western Seoul, E35 route for eastern Seoul (the new E29 route will be opened soon). I mean, all alternatives are still congestive, but at least there are some rooms. For example, E17 is designed to limit some traffic by reducing exits and junctions. Likewise, there are multiple choices for Busan. He took E65 because it is connected to eastern Busan. If the destination was western Busan, the route would be E551/E55.
      Also, there are multiple bypass routes that aren't in Seoul for Seoul to Busan routes. The most significant one is E45 (which follows rather traditional routes and thus shortcuts). However, it benefits only eastern routes (E35) but not western routes because congestions near Seoul. Another options are E30 (bypassing Daejeon) and E301 (bypassing Daegu), which he took.

    • @roadsexplore
      @roadsexplore หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@GC-jx1eq yes, the network of expressways in South Korea is just incredible, with so many alternatives. It helps a lot avoiding congestion and also avoinding accidents/closures.
