I actually played it with the standard string set from Dingwall which is a 130 for the low string. Wouldn't really recommend it though! It just worked out so if you don't have anything else lying around it's okay but I'd say a thicker string set would be a better option :)
The pickup with The factory positioning was better for pizzicato as it was better for moving the hand. And if you add another pickup, wouldn't it be better ? 🇧🇷 Brasil.
I agree on the 3rd pickup! However, I feel most comfortable playing with this position and in my opinion the output still gives me that modern metal Dingwall tone, so that's best of both worlds for me :)
I'd say more variety in general, but I can't really argument against the Parallax because it's THE perfect plugin for bass tone at least for me! Mainly using the quad cortex for comfort reasons as well as on stage or if I need a good guitar tone
The Neural DSP Parallax souds awesome. I'm using Bias FX 2 but i'm not really getting a tone like yours out of it. Crisp, clean, aggressive. Maybe i should look into it too? Maybe a stupid question: How do you figure out your bass covers? There probably are no tabs for those songs (too niche i guess). SO how do you figure out what to play? sure, in modern metal bass most of the time its rhytmic hits of root notes but i'm just not able to figure out what the basslines could be besides the root notes :D
Hey, thanks! I never used Bias FX so I have no comparison, but the Parallax really is comprehensive. For my bass covers I just pick some songs I think might be fun to play. Depending on the song I chose, it is either listening to it (takes me a good while tho) or finding bits and pieces as tabs and correcting them afterwards.
*the tone*
The way your finger attack makes it sound like you're using a pick. Well done.
Ey, thanks! Worked a lot on this technique so I really appreciate this!!
Best looking video yet!
and also peak Wage War - almost a decade hold and still holds up!
Thank you so much! :) Love the whole album so I had to cover a song!
Sick cover ! Been listening to this track everyday for the last two weeks. Best track from the album.

Dankeschön! :)
Love Wage War and that thicc bass tone ❤
Thanks! It’s an awesome band ☺️
Well done! A geeky question: did you move your middle pickup to neck position?
...oh, turns out you literally have a video about it. Now I know :)
Yes! I just prefer that position with the fingerstyle playing :)
@@paularrr Serie or parallel ? :O
@@paularrr Oh, I what you mean! Same with pick actually. My middle pickup on NG2 got super scratched up just in a few first weeks of owning it :)
Wich software are you using to record video ? nice cover btw !
Thanks! We use a Sony FX30 with Sigma ART primes, a Nisi Black Pro Mist - lit with Aputure lights. We edit and colorgrade in Davinci Resolve.
What string gauge do you use for G tuning?

@@paularrr Thank you ^^ I just bought the same Dingwall NG2 and I’m wondering what strings will be needed for low tunings =)

Thanks for the answer.
What is Quad Cortex providing tone-wise that Parallax itself can not?
