Thanks for making this first course, "Godot 101 - Game Engine Foundations", for FREE! Daniel Buckley, the instructor, has a great way of teaching and his pacing is just impeccable. :-)

I'm glad you're starting to release Godot 4 tutorial in YT.
This will help Godot 4 community immensely!
literally nostalgia. I used to use Unity, and Brackeys was my favorite channel for learning. And since he left, no one has really filled that tutorial gap. Your channel is really filling that gap for me since I started learning godot! Thank you!
Brackeys was a ray of light in this dark world. I miss him 😢
i still to this day dont understand why he left youtube. maybe he wanted to do something else with his life but like dude come on. you can generate so much revenue with that channel. maybe for him its not all about the money but quitting youtube out of no where??? what??? so many creators would dream of having the level of sucess as him and he just said ight imma head out. makes no sense. but hope hes doing well. oh well
@@Teeter11 He hinted at recently on Twitter he may be coming back. He said he was playing with Godot.
Brackeys annouced he is comming back and learning godot :).
"Godot is rising rapidly in popularity"
...You could certainly say that again.
Almost as if there was a reason...
Yeah Unity users seem to be switching over…
Add yet another Unity indie dev to Godot. I've had enough corporate drama for life. The funds for Unity Pro will now be used for good. The battle has begun.
Great tutorial Zenva, it helped me to have a formal understanding of Godot, so I thank you
¡!
Thank you for the free course. This content is explaining just the basics of Godot so it's very great for you who NEVER know Godot before 👍🏼
This was very helpful, thank you!
It was really informative, Thank you!!!
Not only thank you for the tutorial, but, you just earned a sub.
GREAT CONTENT! liked and subscribed
You're a legend sir!
It is pretty confusing to find the assets, because on youtube the course is called: "COMPLETE COURSE - Learn GODOT 4 in 90 MINUTES", but on the site the course is called Godot 101, so it took some time to me to find the project files.
So where did you find it 😮
Good one thanks
I wish this video had timestamps. I already know Godot 2D, I'm just here for the 3D
He speaks like Im slow. Perfect for me
bro, why "set_text" not showing as suggestion on press ctrl+space or on typing? similar way if type 'add' then it shows add_text() as suggestion.
Base for begginers . good
Amazing
Link to the assets?
thank you
Thank you for creating a video about Godot 4! I appreciate the effort you put into sharing valuable content with the community. However, I would love it if you could make the full course completely free. It would greatly benefit aspiring game developers who may not have the financial means to access paid resources. Nonetheless, thank you for your dedication to teaching and helping others learn Godot 4!
gdscript similar to python? can you import your own modules?
thanks
do i have to pay to get the assets to complete this tutorial ?
Is there a tutorial like this which further expands on the 2D game creation?
Yes, it is available on his website
where can i download the models for free?
first thing I notice is your love for the green color lol
Very useful introductory course once you know the speaker puts the "R" letter in too much words that should be... like GODOR 🙂
please bring a 2D godot 4 course using C# and Im in.
Wehre is the ZIP file? Weher is the link?
This is a Professional level of understanding the unprofessional perspective from ground Zero.
at 18:42 u said about a zip file but i dont see u doing anything and i dont see your mouse or anything
Might just hsve to invert my monitors colours. First 19 seconds and now my eyes just got flash banged
flashbang
as great as the tutorial is the pay wall to use the assets is just not possible for me , guess its unity for me
Is this course good even if we don't really know how to code or use an engine?
Yes but it's more of an intro to the basic of godot rather than a complete course
19:40
Its BMO!
I've became a paid-member over Zenva academy because I was told they are the best, and now I can confirm it. I have to say that they are the only ones who shows us the game plan before coding, and how we structure our project to achieve our goal. I'm so happy with that because it is the biggest flaw I found in other courses and this made me angry. Thanks Zenva for doing this. Always show us what you've planned before showing the solution. It is great for us to increase our skills on making our own games.
light mode ow my eyes
The course is the best ! but the only thing that is bothering me is HE HAS FRICKEN LIGHT MODE ON AND IT'S BURNING MY EYES
"Godaurrrr"
Flash Bang
WHY DO YOU USE LIGHT MODE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
1:07:20
Someone erased the download and I wanted to follow along
Godoer
G-DAWR
where is the zip file that contains the sprite assets?
ya
Have you found the course files?
@@dynabloxx no
where zip file
Sometimes i really hate godot, so hard to find documentation for doing simple things. constant roadblocks
What are nörds and cörd? 😂
It took an hour to get to coding and you really only showed three genuinely useful concepts through the entire 1.5 hour video; making instances of scenes, the var function, and the print function.
This could've been so much better.
Sorry I can't watch this light theme.
We use light themes in our videos for improved accessibility
Sometimes, light theme is better than dark theme in tutorial videos. They give new vibes.
Use a screen overlay while u watch it to dim it, i can't do light themes either, headache galore, so i just use an overlay and just change the opacity accordingly
@@Zenva nah, dark mode should be default. this burns the eye
@@Zenva Appreciate the tutorial! I will say as a visually impaired person. Dark theme is a lot easier on the eyes for people with contrast issues. Light theme is harder to read.
Good, but it's not the "COMPLETE COURSE", it's just basics
welcome fellow unity refugees :)
it's godot, not godohrrrrr
62 times you mentioned "basically", once every 86 seconds.
