Please be aware!
Note: if paint on rear of handle remove this first with sandpaper to allow Acetone to melt the plastic.
Note: make sure Acetone melts plastic before fitting the clips to the handle, IT IS NOT GLUE. The surface needs to start melting for the parts to fuse together.
The Problem
It is very common for the clips on the inside of the tailgate handle to snap.
The small plastic clips moulded on the inside of the tailgate handle snap causing the handle to become loose, making it difficult to open the boot.
This is a very common fault on these vehicles; these clips simply aren’t strong enough and will inevitably break.
The solution until now was to purchase a complete handle, not only is a new handle expensive, it would also need to be colour coded and ultimately would have the same flawed design which would only fail again.
Symptoms of the fault
Tailgate handle internal clips, snapped, damaged, broken. These snap or break off completely leaving the handle, loose or hanging.

Nissan Qashqai (2006 - 2013)
Nissan Qashqai +2 (2008 - 2013)
Nissan Dualis (Japan / Australia)
Will fit all variants with / without reverse camera, with / without I-Key.

Install our replacement improved design clips and refit your boot handle securely.
Install our replacement clips and reuse your existing handle, saving the cost / need to colour code a new handle which would only fail again.
Our unique clips are very easily fitted, no need for measuring (with potential for mistakes like other kits). Our parts aline to the handle perfectly, no measuring at all just pop in place. No adjustments needed.
Our clips are moulded from ABS plastic NOT 3D printed so quality is assured. Our clips are easily fused to the original handle using Acetone included in our kit. Providing a far superior fastening to any glue.

Quite straightforward instructions. If you are good at DIY then it is very easy. I can confirm that after installing this, it is as strong as before, although i am more careful when opening the boot now just in case.

Great Product and fast install. As my middle 2 connectors were also broken on mine i didn't use the grommet i just use one of the 2 middle bolts. Also a good time to check the number plate bulbs, as it happened both mine were blown.

Bought kit, very straightforward. Wasnt shy with acetone but wasnt over eager with it either. Left to dry for 2.5 hours just to be sure. Job done. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Very sturdy and better than original very flimsy clips

Just to add, I have bought and fitted one of these kits now; the parts are of excellent quality and the kit contains everything you need to complete a solid repair (even a bottle of acetone). Just did mine and followed these exact instructions but my boot lid handle is not flush like before, there's a 1mm gap from the middle and I'm worried the electrics might get damaged with the rain 😢

Easier to have the tailgate slightly open, disconnect the cable from the inside, and feed out the cone shaped grommet than all of that undoing.

Does it work with 1st generation Qashqai (J10) with tailgate camera? It's location is left hand side in the tailgate, so it might collide with that plastic piece.

Acetone melts the ABS plastic from which the handle and our part is constructed, this allows the two to fuse together. Providing a far better bond than any adhesive can achieve.

Is it possible to do this with the boot closed? Obviously those bolts on mine are still stuck on the door and i cant open the boot to loosen them from the inside

Easier to just fit the new BMTick Tailgate for the Nissan Qashqai J10.. its on Amazon etc
If it is not improved design with better clips, it will only fail again in future.
