I LOVE how particular you are!!! The strap ends of mine drive me crazy so thank you for that tip to taper them in!!! And double sided tape is one of my favorite notions to have!!!
Hello Debby, Thanks for the detailed instructions. I love your attention to detail, it makes all the difference in the final professional finish you achieve. Keep up the good work. Best wishes, Patricia
Great video. I've always had problems with the ends of the strap and your method of tapering the ends is pure genius. I also like how you cover the end near the hardware with the contrast fabric. Very finished and professional looking. Thanks for sharing your tips.
This is an awesome video. Thankyou so much. I’m sewing a Glacier bag (Emmaline), and ran out of cork to make the strap. I have some Rex and will make the back of the strap with that and front with cork. 🎉 Yeah
thank you very much for a clear, yet very detailed, video. you're obviously a very talented artist and i really look forward to watching other videos of yours and gaining a lot of tips and info for making my bags. again, tfs!
It looks like you topstitched with the fabric side up. Do you use a special foot or feed dogs to help the leather/vinyl feed through without damaging the leather?
Any double sided tape available from a fabric store will work. I hesitate to say any DST because Scotch puts out a DST too and it would not be good for bag making.
