Hey my friend !! Just came in from snow blowing our first major snow storm of the year here in NH. That hot buttered rum looks and sound delicious. Wish you were here to enjoy one around a fire with the snow falling. I'm not saying that I enjoy all the work of snow removal, but there are nights when the snow falling almost seems magical. 'Tis always better with good friends and spirits around a nice fire though. Be well and a Merry Christmas to you and yours if I don't get a chance to wish you one between now and then. --den
Hey Den hope all is well with you and your family it is getting cold here not as bad up north in NH but have been having fires in wood stove and me and wife enjoying some of our home made one of these days we can enjoy that drink around the fire Merry Christmas Cheers my Friend
These kind of drinks are good for me to try. And this one definitely looks like one I will have a go at. Thanks! I’m actually right in the middle of making a video of a drink with a hot and cold option. So just let you know I’m not copying your ideas 😊 Keep Shining Randy. And keep up this good work. I loving all of it!!!
I have been enjoying your videos. My wife and I picked up a still a couple of days ago and are looking forward to learning together. Thank you for sharing.
You should make it as a cold beverage and review it that way. You'd just have to replace the boiling water with club soda. Please try that and post a review. Adding carbonation to it could make for a perfect summer beverage.
Is it shelf stable with the butter added? Will it gradually precipitate out? Also, is there a reason not to add the brown sugar and cinnamon into the bottle?
I'll say it again Randy, I love your enthusiasm and surprise when a recipe turns out. One question though, even after you filtered it did it still not leave an oil slick in your mouth? I've got plenty of rum, so this is in my gotta try file.
This process is called fat-washing. Any fat source that coagulates and solidifies when cold can be used. So think, olive oil gin. Bacon bourbon. Coconut rum.
Nice winter drink.
Randy, your enthusiastic appreciation of this one made me thirsty! Cheers
Thanks for the cool video. Cheers
Thanks for watching!

Would replacing the rum with Lyre's non-alcoholic rum be a no-go seeing as that it needs to be put in a freezer for several hours?

Question? What was the proof of the rum you used?

Randy, I'll have to try this. How do you store the rest of the bottle and and do you have a shelf life? As always a great video
I am told that it is shelf stable
What was the gold rum just aged on oak?
