    As a Harry Potter fan this just made me think of butterbeer. Although I'd probably add some butterscotch liqueur too.

      Ooh! Great idea, I just made caramel liqueur recently, I should try combining them!

    OMG I would say for almost 45 years I have described this drink to many people and not one of them had ever tried this or knew a good recipe but thought it sounded good.
    I rode to a football game with a friend and his parents in the 8th grade. On the way there his mother kept talking about how good the hot butterd rum was to his dad. After the fourth time of her mentioning it, my buddy said "we want to try it mom". That woman turned around, handed her cup back and said....."just take a sip and don't drink all my drink" and by god we both took a sip. I can remember two things vividly. Her actually handing that thing back to us and how damn good that drink tasted. Finally a killer recipes. To be honest I'm not surprised I found it here. I have been looking throught your channel and this is an awesome tutorial page. I am going to learn a ton from you. My OCD always helps with that...lol

    You’re not a fan of cloves??? I love that spice! Love how you are storing the extra compound butter in the freezer. That butter can also be used as a filling to cinnamon roll dough if you ever make it from scratch.

      @RobsHomeBar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ooh good point! Although there won’t be much left after making a few of these hehehe…. Yea cloves don’t do it for me, I find they overpower even in tiny amounts. When I make pumpkin pie or gingerbread, I tend to leave it out

    When we lived in Calgary, we could buy a jar of hot buttered rum mix. Your mixture sure looks a lot like what came out of that jar. Will have to try it out. Thanks.

    I am sure the cream helps the butter incorporate into the drink a bit more rather than float on top. I would maybe use my hand frother to incorporate it a bit more and give it a frothy texture without having to add a whipped cream of any sort. It would have a good mouth feel that way. On my Christmas list 😁

    • @RobsHomeBar
      @RobsHomeBar  2 ปีที่แล้ว
