She was using the height compensation tool on the wrong side, you'd use it on the low side not the high side and maybe I could use just that and save $50 as this video doesn't tell me why to spend the $50. on the foot.

Dear Janet, thanks for your comment. Depending on the height of the fabric, you can use the compensation tool with 3 different heights for smooth feeding when stitching over seams. The small hole in the foot protects the needle during the downwards movement for better penetration. The narrow groove on the bottom of the foot allows heavy threads to pass under the foot, preventing skipped stitches when topstitching or sewing reinforced seams. Kind regards from Switzerland

Why subtitles in 2 languages? Not only that, English subtitles are blocked by the other language and also blocks the video. Very strange and useless video due to this plus no info as to the benefits of buying yet another foot.

Thanks for your comment. You can deactivate TH-cam's closed captions by clicking on the "cc" icon in the bottom right corner of the video player. This video shows the use of the Jeans foot which is excellent for sewing thick and robust textiles in several layers with maximum precision. If the video doesn't convince you, please visit your BERNINA dealer to test-sew this foot. It is a very useful little helper!

Thank you - Japanese was on, which was very bizarre! Only appear on this video. Not only that, Japanese and english subtitles showing at same time, but only Japanese ticked. Now switched off. Never encountered that before.
