I;m completely hindered with these 2 things & I pray that He helps take this away from me but it's always there. I try to pray and when I start listing things that I'm afraid of (like my mom's health), the dread washes over me & I start sweating and have to stop praying or change subjects. I will play this first thing in the morning.

My dear, I suffered much like you and I will share how God set me free. First, understand that those fears are spirits. You must renounce and rebuke them. Lord, You said " My yoke is easy and my burden is light" I believe it with my will. Also, you need to get on your knees and start thinking upon the goodness of God and thanking and praising Him. If dread comes, resist, renounce, and rebuke it. Command your mind to be still. Those spirits are not more powerful than Christ and He is in you. Don't give them the attention they want. Spend your time rather talking with Jesus, Father and the Holy Spirit. He commands us to be anxious for nothing. Take the Psalms and meditate on the goodness of God. Say it out loud! Renounce and rebuke unbelief. Speak out your faith. Last, surrender your mom to the goodness of God. He loves her very much and He loves you. He is better than you can imagine. Take a faith stand for the goodness of God asking the Holy Spirit to help you. He will. The demons are bullys but you have Sovereign God as a Father!

I, too have FEAR, and am trying to build up my faith. If anyone feels led, please pray for me. Last year I broke my back, then I fell and had 7 fractures in L foot and multiple in R foot. My right foot is partially paralyzed and I can not walk. I haven't been able to walk for 6 months, even with a walker. I'm a 65 yo widow and am truly alone. I came home to Northern Kentucky to care for my mother, and while getting ready to move back to Naples, Florida where my sons and grandchildren are, I fell. Thank you for agreeing with me in prayer, that I will walk again, soon. 🤦♀️🙏🙏🙏💜🪻💜😔😔😔💜🪻💜🙏🙏🙏

Many years ago the LORD gave me seven words to live by. "Have Faith I Will, Rejoice I Am!!" God is in control.
"So if the son (not sun!) sets you free, you will be free indeed."
It is interesting how Lewis structures the soul in concentric circles: will, inner most, and fantasy outer most, reason intellect in between. So this whole talk is about putting God next to your will and fear way out in fantasy land. My reason says, hey that's a pretty smart way to put fear in it's place!
