Interesting talking about perception. When I first saw that window in the early part of the video, I recognized that it was spinning circular, but the optical illusion to me was how it was balancing on a single string and still being upheld straight, so in other words for me the optical illusion was that it should not have been a balanced load but it appeared to be, I didn't see the flapping back and forth part until you mentioned it. I guess that also answers your question My favorite thing to do I guess rather than my favorite optical illusion, any optical illusion is great and my favorite thing to do is try to control or force my perception to alter to see the illusions differently, it is great mental training

Definitely need to use that window for a drama set piece.
I’ve always wanted to build Penrose triangle or Necker cube based lawn furniture

One quantum leap and this can be applied to the importance you should place on other people's perspectives.

Is it just me, or do these ames windows seem incorrect. The illusion isn't seen here. The ends weren't colored correctly, right?

Is it weird that this doesn't work on me?

Yesterday I happened to be watching a pair of hinged iron railing gates being opened under electrical power from a distance of about 100m. I flipped between seeing them open outwards (away from me), and inwards (towards me). This must be a form of the Ames window illusion.
