Straight to the point, no confusion, great video. I will say that mine did not come out so easy, I had to use a screwdriver to work them out but everything worked just like you said it would and thank you for pointing out the tab to eliminate any confusion as to which way they go in. I was told you are not allowed to touch the bulb because the "oil from your fingers" will cause the bulbs to burn out but I saw you touch them with no issues so can you let me know if that's an old wives tale or that it is in fact true? Thank you!
Thank you! Actually in the video I did touch the bulb but you should not! I should of stated that , it can cause premature life of the bulb from oils and or dirt on fingers
@@motorcarnut Ended up doing both headlights. Dear sweet baby Jesus I made that 10x harder than it needed to be. Didn't remember what position the bulb goes into the fixture and which way to turn it to lock it in place. Took me a while and some scraped knuckles to get it figured out. Then dropped one of the big covers down into a gap above the bumper and spend 10 minutes doing arm yoga to reach it and get it out. 🤣
You surely figured it out but it is very fidgety to get it into the right position, then give it small turn to lock it in. Generally the wires are towards the engine of the car on each side. Make sure you seated the bulb correctly in the harness. While it is keyed, I’ve seen people put it in wrong and try to still force it in. For me, there is a bit of jostling to get it to seat correctly. The hardest part for sure is putting the bulbs back.
My 2009 VW cc H7 Headlight Bulb Socket Retainer Holder Adapter broke, I purchased a new one. Can you create a video replacing? Please, please, please 🙏
When you put the bulbs in there is a tab and a slot on the headlight housing that it has to fit into flush or you will have that problem you’re experiencing.
Hi, does anyone know why one of the bulbs is making orange glow and second one perfect white/blue? Bulbs are the same. In first 2-3 seconds they're the same but after that, one is strarting to glow orange
@@motorcarnut yes sir i do but I think I may be the baluster, bc all my other light come on but the low beam and the headlight thank you for the reply your a very good at getting back to ppl I see maybe if your interested I have videos of the cc tear down from suspension to cv axel brake rotors now I’m working on the lights and side panels
No bs, no goofy music, just the details needed. Thanks
Thanks, that’s what my channels about. Straight to the point.
Love how simple and short it was, thanks for the help 👌🏻
No problem 👍Thanks for the feedback!
Very simple, and straight to the point! Amazing Video

Great video!! For me, its the small things like explaining that we do not have to undo the wiring 😅 ❤
Glad it was helpful! and thanks for the feedback!

Can you elaborate on getting the bulb out? Mine isn’t just popping out like yours. I Definitely can’t do it with one hand either.
Super helpful. Replacing my bulb later today. Thanks!!!
Thanks , good luck and don’t touch bulb with bare fingers

At least you did it and saved some money. Plus next time it will be much easier because you done it already.
Dude! You're the best! Thank you!

Thanks!🙏
You're welcome! And really appreciate the tip!!! Thank you
How did you get it back into place after taking it out? I’ve been trying for minutes now and nothing seems to make it fit in place
It has a slot and only goes in one way

Thank you! It wouldn’t be so hard if there were more room to work. Some are so hard it’s easier to take the headlight assembly out to change the bulbs
THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome!
So if i wanted to put in halogen bulbs in place of regular bulbs, would it be as simple as this or do i have to replace the housing too?
Halogen is the regular bulbs?
thanks!!
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment.
My 2009 VW cc H7 Headlight Bulb Socket Retainer Holder Adapter broke, I purchased a new one. Can you create a video replacing? Please, please, please 🙏
I don’t have that vehicle in the shop sorry
are there different lights for VW cc sport? or should they all be the same. also is that the low beam? i need my low beam replaced not my high beam
No and yes
Had issues getting the bulb back in place afterwards, that small space and the heat with the gloves so I don’t mess the bulb up. SMH
Good evening, my headlights are only pointing down. I'm unable to get them to level up and have to use high beam at nights any advice?
When you put the bulbs in there is a tab and a slot on the headlight housing that it has to fit into flush or you will have that problem you’re experiencing.
Is this for a halogen bulb? And how to tell if high beam or low beam light went out?
Yes halogen, put your high beams on, if the both work then it’s the low beam
Perfect video...
Thank you!
What bulb is it? Thank you
H7
Where to buy replacement bulbs?
Any auto parts store
Now, how do I turn the dashboard lightbulb off?
There should be a switch where the headlight switches are.
Hi, does anyone know why one of the bulbs is making orange glow and second one perfect white/blue? Bulbs are the same. In first 2-3 seconds they're the same but after that, one is strarting to glow orange
Bad bulb or electrical connection
Is it HID
No this is regular halogen bulbs
Where did u get the bulb??
Any auto parts store
Hmmm... great video but nevet said bulb type
It’s and H7 2009 to 17
I can t change the blinker bulb
That’s a different procedure than this video. I don’t have one on the turn signal yet.
Is that for a low beam headlight
Yes
A mechanic quoted me $400 to do this 😂😂
Are you serious?? Hopefully you saw this video and did it for the cost of the headlight bulb only!
😢
Why is everyones videos about the low beams. Where can I find a video about the high beams....
The high beam is basically the same procedure
@Motorcarnut is it? Even though its a different part and placement... some of use aren't car savvy.
It’s not the same bulb number but the same way it comes out.
It’s not the same for the 2013 ccredline
What bulb do you have? Do you have HID's?
@@motorcarnut yes sir i do but I think I may be the baluster, bc all my other light come on but the low beam and the headlight thank you for the reply your a very good at getting back to ppl I see maybe if your interested I have videos of the cc tear down from suspension to cv axel brake rotors now I’m working on the lights and side panels
Very well can be
Can t take that shitty bulb out no matter how hard i try🤦🏻♂️
Shouldn't be that difficult, unless it melted inside the housing, i've seen that before. Try looking at it with a mirror to see what is going on.
That aint no cc
Yes it is
@@motorcarnut my 2013 cc light bulb is nothing like one u showing,, why u have 08-16 cc in tittle.?
@nash1744 because that’s what years it fits. Car in video was a 2012, maybe you have Xeon head lights
@@motorcarnut yea i do xeon lights
@nash1744 there you go
Thank you.
