Good video but it is so much pain just trying to build a house and stop the locals from stealing as I build. I’m retired and just too old for such nonsense!

Sorry about that. Sometimes, it's worth it to just pay a professional company to take care of all of that.

As someone already said, you can use a company to take care of your build where they handle things like theft, materials, water, etc....trust me, it is much better building this way and much less stress.

Brotha... This cast was articulate and incrediblely impactful to the key audiance. My brother this is why we are coming. The diaspora see ourselves as Patrioctic Free Agents. Mom is calling her Sons and Daughter home.

What kind of businesses does Ghana need? I have an American perspective and understand American "needs" but not the needs of Ghanaians. A video on that would be awesome.

I don’t know who sold Ghanaians in the diaspora this idea that when you return back home you’ve to have everything in place and if you don’t succeed is your fault. There are some real issues in Ghana that we can’t overlook, and if one decides to pursue the growth mindset, you have to know is not going to be easy. Because there are a lot of constraints that you’ve to work through, and is not easy. I’m not saying don’t try it but this is the reality on ground

When you import more than you manufacturer, you create jobs for those companies abroad who will hire their citizens. When you manufacture more in your countries, you create jobs for your people. Simple as that!!!

Let’s not forget, not everybody wants to build a house. So many people want to be renters, especially the elderly and those in the diaspora who are ready to come back home. Why are houses on the market so expensive; chasing the Western world? Ghana doesn’t have all the infrastructure the developed nations have yet, but still prices of houses seem to be high or higher than in the West. I think home prices or rental properties should match the standard of living in Ghana. At least that’s what it used to be in the years past.

Can we get a Facebook group going of 1st gen Ghanaian diasporas that have returned or are thinking of returning? We can't make a difference if we keep operating in silos.

Find the Job in the west remotely working then you have the best of both worlds working from home. Job done you can work anywhere in the world.

It's kind of hard to talk diasporan and entrepreneurship in Africa when you're getting scammed and finessed every step of the way by the locals and the government.
Even if you have plans to pay the people well, even double what they would have made on a regular Salary they'll still steal from you so that makes it twice as hard to try and do right by them. The people inevitably turn out to be Their Own Worst Enemy
