From a coaching standpoint, what you are seeing is pure focus. The more you focus on the spot you want to hit, your body will do what ever it can to put that arrow in there. Also, practice, practice, practice!!!

Last year Levi Morgan competed at Vegas with ~#72 (very unusual) and was able to pass the 900 score cut, but that poundage doesn't offer any advantage when the target is a paper on foam...
I bought a Hoyt Ignite for my first bow and honestly I definitely enjoy shooting my bow rather than my guns. It’s soo fun and addicting. Seeing these two’s shots and I’m in awe
My wife and I both bought Carbon Icons, but set them up for target rather than hunting. I had been talking of taking my wife to archery for years, and finally persuaded her to go. At the end of our first lesson, she was asking when were we buying our bows. Damn that was an expensive morning. Nice to be able to compete against my wife.

compound might seems easy: ya got a peep sight and a scope to align your bow, let offs to hold lighter poundage at the end at anchor point. but this is a misconception, yes it's easier to shoot a compound at a barebow target. but it is HARD lemme tell ya, HARD to shoot at a penny sized ring at 18 m frl frl
You seem to know a lot about their equipment. Do you happen to know what draw weight they are using. I use a Martin compound bow at 50 pounds when I target shoot and am wondering if the pros use a lighter or heavier draw weight.

I known that Sara Prieels (current woman female score record) shoots 45 pounds, and on the other extreme Levi Morgan did shoot with 72 pounds of draw weight at the 2019 main event in Vegas and was able to score 900 and pass the cut, but my guess is that most of the male pros do shoot ~50-60#. The extra speed of more poundage does 0 at the short range and windless indoors.
They just want to encourage her. They may feel like she is underrepresented in her sport or something like that. I dont think that's the case though. And it's not like archery is something where men are naturally better like in football or basketball. It's more of a game of skill and technique, not brute force, so I dont know why they felt the need to give her extra encouragement.
men can generally shoot higher poundage bows and even when the bows are the same poundage they might be able to hold them at full draw for longer/easier than woman. compared to other physical sports men and women perform much closer but they are still not quite equal yet
@@MrWizardjr9 actually I find that to be very wrong. Poundage never really matters unless your shooting distance and even then. Half my team as well as other semi pro female shooters I shoot against shoot a good 5 or 10 pounds more than I do. I shoot 40 out of a prevail just fine, no need for more poundage at 20 yards I'm not trying to punch a hole in space here lol

I'm not sure on the exact model of the sight but it looks based off the Axcel Carbon Accutouch. That's the sight I currently have but his definitely looks like he's done some modifications. I think he is using a single pin sight too because there's not really a need for multiple pins for this competition. Sorry I cant give you the exact model number but I hope this helps a little. I am sorry but I dislike the use of the attachments to the bows. If you want to shoot a bow, do so without ANY stabilizers. It amazes me with what these people can do, but I have watched people overseas do great things with a bow with NOTHING attached to the bow at all.

Why did they adjust Sara's very obvious 9 points to 10 out of nowhere ? She shot a 9 and it turns to a 10 for zero reason before her second shot.
They fixed it if you watch her score at the 3rd shot was a 28

At this years Vegas shoot 22 men shot 900 only one women did. Women can register for open class if they want to.

Unless your planning on competing in comps like this a lot of states don’t allow sights for bows for hunting.

I think the guy said the center circle has an added 2 points in the final round.. so is would be 12 points .. 77+12=89
