- Compound cadet women's team gold medal match between Faith Miller, Raegan Bender and Makenzie Weatherspoon of USA and Cherkezova Arina, Snetkova Nika and Perfilyeva Darya of Russia at the 2019 World Archery Youth Championships in Madrid, Spain. Compound archers shoot at a target 50 metres away and the central 10-ring measures just 8cm in diameter.

The first Russian girl is literally taking her sweet time like they dont have a time restriction.
That is exactly why compound bows are not a true sport. In Olympics you have time, but the time is mostly how long you can hold the weight of the draw. Compound bows negate the true art of archery.

@@Connor312_ Look. A bow is a masterpiece of engineering on any level, be it compound, recurve or crossbow. Only 1 of the three is traditional. Any classic bow is traditional. When you add mechanical advantage to a bow, it loses flavour. No doubt technology advances a bows ability to be more accurate and heartier. But Olympic it is not.
Here's what y'all need to know. Yes the 2nd russian is taking a long time but here's the standard line up.
1st is the benchmarker
2nd is the "slower/weaker" shooter
3rd is the one that can performs under time pressure and is the "better" shooter
But we don't say weaker or better archer. It's a team effort and everyone is equal
Shooting competitions display, how important to be confident and calm under that stress, than your brain and body work in full harmony. Our girls should have learned to be not so serious.
Colombian team, Lopez shot 2nd. - at one point.
You know it may have just been 12 year old girls up there, but i felt the threat of the cold war brewing behind this competition.

Если бы «судьи» надёргали первую стрельбу, благодаря чему и не сделали последний выстрел, то по очкам победили бы. А так победили морально.

If they hadn't gotten that miss at the beginning, I'd wager that the Russian team would've won. I suspect that they were slightly better shooters than the American team (my team woohoo!), but the two yellow cards and the resulting miss likely shook their confidence (not to mention the one shooter who was using up all the time of the third shooter) as well as boosted the confidence of the American team. Great play, all around.

I noticed that. My work has an archery range and I am up there every day during my lunch and have yet to meet another lefty archer.

@@DiskoAD в первом случае судья сказала, что вышла со стрелой, во втором, что вышла с заряженым релизом. первый случай не видно, а вот во втором точно видно на картинке, что релиз был в руке. и судья думала, что же сказать. и сказала это когда уже даже стрела натягивалась.

почитал коменты и пздц какой то , кто про мельдоний кто про рашку , кто то про то что первая долго метилась , шуты какие то, мне интересно вы с политикой для чего сюда лезете? вы сами то в ней много чего понимаете? с мельдонием этим , для чего ? чтобы чтото написать? или типо это смешно? отстрелялись хорошо . Виноват тренер , который похоже приехал на турнир не зная правил, 22 сек потеряли из за незнания правил, что привело к потере 1 выстрела которого и нехватило .

The poor guy commentating had to carry the female commentator on his back. She seemed like she just wanted to be a spectator. It would have been a very interesting match if the Russians didn't lose that arrow. The USA women were very good and deserved to win. This proves how important knowing the rules really is. The coaches for the Russian team may be to blame for this error.

Good on the American team for congratulating the Russian team after the match. I hadn't seen other teams do that in some of the matches I watched but I was very impressed and happy about them shaking hands with the Russian team. They seemed nervous but did a great job (all three got 10s in one round!). Great sportsmanship all around and this is what sports is all about: not winning but embracing the competition.

Americans had to leave a target unscathed to find out who was the best. I think Russians were stronger. The shorter girl Russian was very good shooter.
I hate when skill isn’t the deciding factor in my sports decisions but rather side rules. Disqualifications, time limits, technical wins, they all feel less good then a clear cut “I’m better than you”
Captain kiwi being able to shoot under a time limit is one of the challenges. You need to execute your full shot process within a time restraint, that’s part of the challenge

@@Котэ-й6м Там не заступ. Комментатор же объяснил. Вторая зашла на зону стрельбы до того как первая её покинула. А третья зашла в зону уже с релизом. Технически это не правильно. А на практике судья продажный ....

I think it was also a coaching difference. Russian team didn't communicate that much with their coach, the American coach seemed more invested and active.
as it is not strange, but the coach did not prepare any of them, and therefore he was not interested.
